Chapter 1196: I Will Handle Everything
"Yo, did you figure it out?" Oscar asked, sounding kinda unsure.
Evelyn nodded and glanced over at Bella in the distance. "Let's roll, hurry up. I got a bad feeling Nathaniel's cooking up something else."
"Yeah, let's bounce," Oscar agreed, looking worried. "But if you guys leave, what about me?"
Everyone else was out cold, and he was the only one still standing. If they took Bella, he'd be in deep trouble.
Evelyn gave him a quick look and waved her hand. Another person showed up at the door, and Oscar's eyes nearly popped out of his head.
He kept looking between Bella and the new chick. Not only was he confused, but even Bella looked totally lost.
"Once we split, this chick who looks like Bella will stay here. From now on, she's Bella. You can tell everyone we got handled, but you held a gun to Bella's head and made us back off. How long this fake can fool them is anyone's guess," Evelyn laid it all out for Oscar.
This Bella double was courtesy of the Roberts family. Dora had planned to use her to force Evelyn and Blake to surrender, but they saw through it.
Evelyn had brought this double along and even got someone to teach her Bella's quirks. Honestly, unless Nathaniel was around all the time, it'd be tough to tell the difference.
But who knows? They'd been together for years. Nathaniel might spot the fake right away.
It was a gamble.
Oscar felt a shiver run down his spine. "You think my dad's a moron?"
"Then just say we took her, but Bella came back on her own. Claim she couldn't leave the high life and didn't wanna go with us," Evelyn suggested another angle.
Since Oscar was the only one awake, he could spin any story he wanted.
Oscar thought it over and figured this excuse was better than the first one.
He nodded. "Alright, you guys go. Make sure everything's set up in Colombia. I bet he'll be on your tail soon."
He didn't think the fake would fool Nathaniel for long.
"Got it," Evelyn nodded. Even if Oscar hadn't said anything, she would've made sure everything was ready.
Then, Evelyn looked at Bella, who was still sitting there, looking kinda helpless. "Let's go."
"Just like that? But Nathaniel and I are still married," Bella said, feeling like it was all too surreal. Even if she left, she was still Nathaniel's wife.
Evelyn got what she meant, but they were out of time. "Don't worry, I'll sort everything out. We gotta move now."
Bella looked at Evelyn, her daughter she had only seen once since birth, feeling all sorts of emotions.
"Alright, let's go," Bella finally agreed. She really wanted to get out of there, and she wanted to be with Evelyn from now on.
This was her daughter. She'd already missed the first few decades of her life. Did she want to miss the rest too?
