Chapter 383 Doubts
Evelyn frowned and remained silent. Although her face still wore a smile, her heart was already filled with doubts. There hadn't been any major projects at the Doyle Group recently, so why was he suddenly so busy? Busy to the point where he couldn't even find time to have a meal with her. Even Evelyn, who was usually slow to catch on, could sense something was amiss at this moment.
Something is not right.
Shaking her head, she temporarily suppressed these thoughts. After the opening ceremony, she would have to pay a visit to the Doyle Group. No matter what, she needed to find out the truth.
Quickly, Sarah finished speaking, and as the applause resounded, the Evelyna Fashion brand was officially open for business.
The door behind her opened, and many onlookers walked in. Even though Evelyn was the owner, she also went in and started working as a shop assistant, patiently answering customers' questions.
Of course, their prices still surprised many. It seemed that they didn't expect a newly opened brand to have prices comparable to those luxurious foreign brands.
"What is this thing? How dare they sell it at such a high price," someone complained, their voice not quiet.
Others echoed in agreement, feeling dissatisfied as well.
Evelyn approached the girl who spoke and said, "Hello, may I explain the fabric and craftsmanship of this garment to you?"
"I don't want to know about your fabric and craftsmanship. I just want to know why you're selling it at such a high price. It's almost on par with Chanel across the street."
The girl obviously had money but didn't consider herself a fool. She wouldn't waste her money like this.
Evelyn Marina patiently explained, "Evelyna Fashion uses natural silk and each garment is handmade, so naturally, the price is higher."
The girl sneered, "Is that it?"
"Evelyna Fashion has always focused on high-end products since its establishment. We must have our own luxury brand, don't we?" Evelyn calmly responded, as she had anticipated this situation.
The girl's attitude didn't change even after hearing Evelyn's explanation. She still had a cold expression. "Luxury brands are not something you can simply decide to have. Others have hundreds of years of tradition. Do you?"
"Don't we have enough cultural heritage?" Evelyn Marina asked. The clothes she showcased today incorporated various rare crafts, the craftsmanship of our ancestors. Were they not comparable to those outside?
The girl was temporarily choked by Evelyn's words and couldn't find a response for a moment. She coldly hummed but didn't leave.
The customers in this mall were all wealthy people who didn't care about the price as long as they liked it. Nothing else mattered.
Soon, someone made a purchase, selecting two silk dresses that were both elegant and cool to wear.
Just when Evelyn thought everything was going smoothly, someone voiced a doubt. "The clothes in your store, why do they look similar to the ones in the store that opened a few days ago?"
"Yeah, I thought so too," someone agreed, furrowing their eyebrows.
Hearing this, a wealthy lady who had just made her purchase stopped in her tracks, displeased. "What's going on? If you don't explain, I dare not wear these clothes."
Evelyn also furrowed her brows and walked over with Sarah. "Which store are you referring to?"
"The Sophia Fashion store across from you," the person said.
Sophia Fashion?
Evelyn found that name familiar. After careful consideration, wasn't that Evely
Is this Fashion's name before the name change? Natalie? Just as she thought of it, Natalie walked in and glanced at the clothes in the store, sneering, "I thought you were so capable, turns out you're just copying, Ms. Kyte. If you don't give me a reasonable explanation today, I'm afraid we'll have to see each other in court."
