Chapter 641 No Reason
After Evelyn finished speaking and turned to leave, Hubert looked at her back, didn't say anything, but couldn't help but wonder: which Ms. Kyte could lead the Diaz family further?
He used to believe it was Lucia, but the more he interacted with them, the more he realized Lucia didn't have that ability.
It was Evelyn instead. Sighing, well, at this point, he could only choose Lucia.
He was well aware that even if that person was really Evelyn, he couldn't marry her. She was much more difficult to deal with than Lucia.
In the living room, footsteps could be heard at the door. Wade thought it was Evelyn returning, and looked up, only to find Lucia instead. The smile on his face instantly disappeared, replaced by a blank expression.

Wade frowned. "What are you trying to say?"
"My mom only has me as a daughter." Lucia spoke, though not explicitly, the meaning was clear.
Wade sneered. "You mean Evelyn is an illegitimate daughter?"
"Yes, she is an illegitimate daughter." Lucia didn't deny it, as it was the truth.
She believed Wade must have been misled by Evelyn into thinking she was the Miss of the Kyte family, which was why he liked her.
But Evelyn wasn't the real Miss of the Kyte family, Lucia was.
Wade looked at her as if she were a fool. "So what? What does it have to do with me?"
He didn't care if Evelyn was the illegitimate daughter or not. What he cared about was Blake's attitude towards Evelyn.
At least for now, it seemed that Blake cared more about Evelyn as his daughter.
As for Lucia, Blake probably didn't have high expectations for her, so he hadn't really nurtured her, making her seem so clueless.
"Wade, she's an illegitimate daughter, not worthy of your affection."
Lucia spoke up, her face blushing, "Wade, I like you, can you give me a chance?"
Wade glanced at her, finding her noisy.
Lucia didn't see his impatience, and when he looked at her, her cheeks turned even redder, shy to the extreme.
Wade was speechless. As he was about to get up and leave, footsteps were heard at the door again, Evelyn had returned.
Seeing her, Wade seemed to see a savior. "Evey."
Evelyn nodded, seeing Lucia sitting there wasn't surprising. "Lucia, I didn't realize you were quite likable."
She was teasing Wade on purpose, but didn't expect Wade to take it seriously. He immediately got up and kept his distance from Lucia. "I don't feel happy about everyone's liking."
For him, some people's affection was just a burden.
Originally shy, Lucia was stunned in an instant, unable to miss the meaning in Wade's words.
"Wade, what's wrong with me? Why would you rather like this divorced person and not give me a chance?" She really didn't understand.
Before meeting Evelyn, she, Lucia, was also in the limelight, and no one dared to treat her like this.
