Chapter 660 It's Your Only Chance

After dinner, Evelyn had no reason to continue following Dermot, so she just smiled at him and said, "I'm leaving now."

As she left, she couldn't help thinking to herself that the next time they met, it would truly be just a business relationship.

"Alright." Dermot nodded, feeling inexplicably uneasy.

Hearing her words, he felt like he was losing something.

Not long after Evelyn's figure disappeared from Dermot's sight, the feeling of loss became more pronounced. Dermot felt an inexplicable urge to chase after her.

Unfortunately, Evelyn's car had already disappeared, and Dermot had lost track of where to follow.

Dermot couldn't understand why he was feeling this way when everything was supposed to return to normal.

Just as Dermot was puzzled, his phone rang. Seeing that it was Margaret calling, Dermot answered, "Where are you? I need to talk to you."

Margaret provided an address, and Dermot drove over.

Dermot felt that his current state was still not quite right. He wasn't sure why this situation was happening, so he could only seek help from Margaret, who was a psychologist.

Evelyn, who had already left, was unaware of all this. As she drove back to Kyte Group, she didn't rush to go in but sat alone in the car, with Dermot's words echoing in her mind.

Evelyn realized that perhaps the truth was as it seemed, but there was still some acceptance she couldn't quite grasp.

Feeling sad was inevitable, but it didn't mean she would lose her composure.

After resting against the car seat for a moment, Evelyn regained her composure.

She got out of the car and went straight to the floor where Blake was located, ready to discuss the collaboration with the Roberts family.

Now that she knew where the problem lay, she would naturally strategize around it. This time, she would make sure the Roberts family understood what it meant to be attacked in secret.

On the other side, Dora and Lucia were hiding in a corner of the restaurant.

"My people found out that Wade was here today with a client. This is your only chance." Wade's status didn't require him to accompany clients every day, so if he wasn't with clients, it was hard for them to know where Wade was.

Lucia nodded, her eyes gleaming. "But how do I make him...?"

Lucia was a bit shy. Even if Wade got drunk, he might not completely lose consciousness, and he might still refuse when he saw her.

This was Lucia's only chance, and she felt it should be handled cautiously.

"Don't worry about that. I've already bribed the waiter in the private room to spike Wade's drink a bit. You'll have your chance then." Dora had made preparations since she brought Lucia along.

However, Dora also had her concerns.

"Lucia, are you really sure about this? Wade doesn't seem that great, and if you end up marrying him, how will he treat you...?"

"Mom, don't worry. I have confidence in myself. Even if Wade doesn't like me at first, he will eventually come to like me after some time." Lucia was determined not to give up.

Seeing her determination, Dora didn't say anything more.

Regardless, marrying into the Allen family was indeed better, at least better than marrying into the Diaz family.

Dora and Lucia waited outside, watching as the clients left the private room, but Wade had yet to come out. Lucia was a bit worried. "Mom, are you sure Wade is in there?"

"Definitely. Wade might have passed out by now. Hurry and go check on him before someone else takes advantage." Dora nudged her, signaling Lucia to go quickly.

Lucia nodded, her face turning red as she ran over.

The thought of Wade soon becoming hers filled Lucia with uncontrollable joy.
