Chapter 792 They Can't Escape
At a hotel on the border, Joshua hung up the phone and knew that Evelyn had already rescued Blake and Wade. He finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Now, it was his time.
After being back for so long, it was the first time Evelyn had asked him for help, and he certainly couldn't let her down.
Looking at the unassembled gun on the table, he reached out and, in the blink of an eye, had it fully assembled. If Evelyn was there, she would probably be surprised by this scene.
Someone knocked on the door, and Joshua put the gun away. "Come in."
A subordinate pushed the door open and said, "Mr. Garcia, those mercenaries have already reached the border."
The entire border was guarded by their people, and as soon as the mercenaries arrived, they would be spotted.
However, without Joshua's orders, they just kept an eye on them and did nothing.
"Should we take people over there now?" the subordinate asked.
Joshua shook his head. "No rush. They want to cross the border, right? Let them cross it. We just need to wait for them at the last moment."
Catching those people now would be too easy and would waste all the preparations he had made here.
Let those people be cocky, thinking that once they crossed the mountain, they would be out of the border. But what awaited them on the other side of the mountain was not hope but despair. At that moment, they would probably be devastated.
Daring to lay a hand on his friends, if he didn't make them wish they were dead, Joshua would have lived these years in vain.
Late at night, after Blake had surgery in a hospital of the small county, he was transferred back to Golombia overnight. It wasn't until he was settled into a room at Golombia Hospital that Evelyn finally felt at ease.
After a full-body check-up, Wade also came to the room. "Is Mr. Kyte okay?"
"Yes, the doctor had checked him. He said there's nothing serious, just a lot of blood loss, and it needs time to recover," Evelyn said.
"This time, I failed to protect him." Wade felt guilty. As a young man, he should have protected Blake, especially since Blake was Evelyn's father.
Evelyn didn't see it that way. She said, "Wade, how can you blame yourself? It's all because of those mercenaries."
"Yes, and the Roberts family." At the metion of the Roberts family, Wade's face turned cold.
A flash of killing intent appeared in Evelyn's eyes. She really didn't have a liking towards the Roberts family. "Wade, I'll leave the Roberts family to you. If we don't settle it down, such dangers will likely happen again. You understand what I mean, right?"
"Don't worry. I understand. I won't give them a second chance." Over the years, the Roberts family had committed numerous illegal acts. Any one of them would be enough to keep them in prison for a lifetime.
They hadn't done so before because it was just ordinary business competition, not worth such harsh measures. After all, they all had done something illegal.
But now, since the Roberts family was seeking their own doom, he would be willing to give them the opportunity.
Wade turned to leave, but before he did, he asked, "You have arrangements at the border, right?"
Although he knew Evelyn's character, Wade still asked, just in case Evelyn hadn't made arrangements. If she hadn't, he would immediately send people over. There was no way he would let David and his men escape.
"Don't worry. They won't get away." Evelyn smiled. With Joshua over there, nothing should go wrong.
Upon hearing this, Wade smiled. He knew Evelyn wouldn't let those people off.
With the confirmed answer, Wade didn't stay any longer. He got up and prepared to return to the Allen Group. He was going to make sure the Roberts family ended up in prison, and stayed there forever.
