Chapter 825 You Will Bless Us, Right?
Dermot walked into Doyle Manor, only to be met with Randy's questions about Margaret.
"I hung out with her for a bit, but we just didn't click. So, we called it quits," Dermot said.
Everyone knew the real reason Dermot was with Margaret, but Randy decided not to push it. "If it wasn't working, it's better to end it."
"Thanks for understanding," Dermot said, giving a slight nod.
They chatted a bit more, with Dermot updating Randy on some company stuff. Randy threw in a few compliments, and then they wrapped it up.
As soon as Dermot left, Randy's smile vanished.
"What do you think is the reason that he dumped Margaret?" Randy asked as his butler, Zachary Hill, appeared.
Zachary thought for a moment. "Maybe he thinks he doesn't need the Martin family's help anymore and can secure the Doyle inheritance on his own."
They couldn't figure out where his confidence came from.
"Not necessarily. Do you think the Martin family would cut ties with Dermot just because of Margaret? I doubt it," Randy said, knowing the Martin family well.
Zachary nodded but stayed silent.
After a pause, Randy added, "I'm starting to wonder if I made the right call."
Zachary was taken aback. "Do you think Dermot's hard to control?"
"He won't be easy to control," Randy admitted, worried he might have let an enemy in.
"Mr. Doyle, maybe you're overthinking it. No matter how capable Dermot is, he's still vying for the Doyle heir spot, and that's ultimately your decision." Zachary didn't get Randy's concern. Could Dermot really force his hand?
Randy nodded but still asked, "Have they made any moves yet?"
"Mr. Gerald Doyle and Mr. James Doyle seem to have teamed up. They should be making a move soon; they can't just watch Dermot take the Doyle inheritance," Zachary replied.
"In that case, let's give them a hand. Better to deal with Dermot sooner rather than later," Randy said, feeling his goal was within reach, even if it wasn't his original plan. It was still better than before.
Given that, Dermot's existence was no longer necessary.
More importantly, he was worried that if things continued, it would be uncontrollable.
Hearing Randy's words, Zachary was momentarily stunned but nodded. "Got it."
Evelyn went to work at the hospital as usual, but now everyone looked at her differently.
When Lisa, holding Geoffrey's arm, approached her, Evelyn was momentarily stunned. She hadn't expected these two to be together.
She thought that after everything, Lisa would see Geoffrey for who he really was and probably wouldn't like him anymore. But now, it seemed she had overestimated her.
Both were momentarily stunned to see Evelyn, but their thoughts were entirely different.
Geoffrey still felt regret. If he could still be with Evelyn, the Kyte family might be his in the future, but now...
Of course, he only thought this to himself. It would be a disaster if Lisa found out.
Lisa looked at Evelyn with some pride, slightly raising her chin. "Dr. Kyte, Geoffrey and I are together now. You'll give us your blessing, right?"
