When Joshua and Evelyn were talking, Dermot didn't leave. He continued to follow behind Evelyn, and only after confirming she was okay did he finally relax.

Evelyn glanced at him. "He had contacted with my mentor, and my mentor recommended me."
"Oh," Joshua responded, feeling a bit awkward. "I was just asking casually."
"Really? It seems that you're very interested in Dermot." Evelyn scrutinized him, not believing Joshua was just asking casually.
Joshua awkwardly touched his nose and chuckled. "I'm not interested in him."
Evelyn seemed to think of something so didn't press further. "Let's get discharged."
"Okay," Joshua didn't continue the conversation. Some things were understood without being said, and he believed Evelyn understood too.
Before leaving with Joshua, Evelyn went to the doctor's office to confirm that Emerald was fine.
When they returned to the Kyte family, Blake had been waiting for a long time.
It was Joshua's first official meeting with Blake, and in the face of his future father-in-law, Joshua's attitude was exceptionally good.
