Chapter 1303: Calm Down
Evelyn was totally freaking out; Aidan's idea came outta nowhere, and she was caught off guard.
She thought Aidan would say he wanted to travel or find someone he liked. Never in a million years did she think he'd wanna become a clergyman. Who could wrap their head around that?
"Evelyn, chill. No matter what I do, I'll always be your bro. That ain't changing," Aidan said with a grin, not denying Evelyn's claim about him wanting to become a clergyman.
Evelyn started to panic.
She blurted out, "Aidan, get a grip. You haven't even tied the knot or had kids yet. Heck, you haven't even had a girlfriend. How can you suddenly wanna become a clergyman?"
"Marriage and kids don't really do it for me anymore. Same goes for romance," Aidan admitted. Once, he'd wanted to be with Evelyn, but after everything that went down, he saw her as nothing more than a sister.
"Aidan, how can you think like that? You've never even given it a shot. How do you know it won't appeal to you? Maybe that's the life you'd actually dig," Evelyn urged, unable to stand the thought of him becoming a clergyman.
Aidan got what she was thinking and said, "Don't sweat it. I'll check it out. But it doesn't mean I'll definitely stick with it."
"When do you plan to go?" Evelyn asked.
"At least wait until you and Niall are hitched. When you two find your own happiness, then I can do what I wanna do," Aidan said.
Evelyn felt both touched and helpless.
There was still some time before she and Dermot got married. Evelyn felt she had to change Aidan's mind before then.
She had to quickly find someone he liked. Once he had someone he liked, he wouldn't have such thoughts anymore.
With this decision in mind, Evelyn carefully said, "Aidan, since you've decided to wait until after I marry Niall, how about I introduce you to a couple of girls before the wedding? You can date them."
The only solution Evelyn could think of was to set Aidan up on blind dates. Only then would he have a chance to meet new girls.
Aidan immediately felt a headache coming on. "Evelyn, I don't really want a relationship."
"It's no big deal; it's just to make new friends," Evelyn urged.
Aidan wanted to refuse, but Evelyn didn't give him the chance. "It's settled then. Tomorrow at noon, I'll send you the location. You gotta be on time."
With that, Evelyn bailed without even finishing her meal.
On one hand, she didn't have suitable candidates yet. On the other hand, she was afraid that if she stayed, Aidan would have the chance to refuse.
Watching Evelyn leave in such a hurry, Aidan could only shake his head helplessly.
After leaving Aidan's place, Evelyn immediately called Niall and spilled everything. Niall couldn't believe it either.
"Hurry up; you need to help too. Gather info about suitable girls around you and send it to me. I'll do the same. Let's try to find a few beautiful girls to introduce to Aidan," Evelyn said before hanging up and calling Dermot.
She gave him the same instructions, asking him to help gather info on girls. With more people helping, she was confident they could find someone Aidan would like.
