Chapter 777 What Tricks Do You Want to Play?

Upon hearing Evelyn's words, Dora didn't get angry. She said with a smile, "Stop here, can we? Let's have dinner first, and then we can talk about it."

As she spoke, Dora went back to the kitchen and cooked two more dishes before bringing them out to join Evelyn and Blake at the table.

They sat at the dining table, looking at the dishes, but neither Evelyn nor Blake seemed interested in eating.

They had no ideawhat Dora was up to. They didn't dare to have the dishes made by her.

As if she could read their minds, Dora picked up a fork and tasted each dish first. "Go ahead, it's not poisoned."

Upon seeing this, Evelyn and Blake exchanged a glance and didn't refuse.

They ate in silence. Evelyn had only one thought in her mind: no matter what Dora was going to say later, she had to make sure Blake stayed calm and didn't change his mind because of a few words from Dora.

In fact, Evelyn underestimated Blake. For him, he could tolorate Dora doing such a thing as cooking for them without their permission as it was harmless. But once she caused trouble for the Kyte family or Evelyn, he wouldn't tolerate it.

So Dora's actions today were destined to be in vain.

After dinner, Evelyn sat in the living room, looked at Dora coldly, and said, "We've eaten. Say what you want to say."

Evelyn intended to leave, but she wouldn't feel at ease if she didn't keep an eye on Dora.

However, Dora seemed to want to talk to Blake alone. Facing Evelyn's questioning, she only said, "Evelyn, you've had a busy day. Go to your room and rest early."

"Dora!" Evelyn was a bit angry, wondering what tricks Evelyn was trying to play.

Evelyn didn't leave, and Dora wouldn't speak up because she knew very well that as long as Evelyn was there, Blake wouldn't listen to her no matter what she said.

So, Dora had to make Evelyn leave, even if it was just temporarily.

"Evelyn, go rest." After a while, Blake also realized that he had to break the deadlock, so he took the initiative to ask Evelyn to go to her room.

"Blake," Evelyn couldn't help but say.

"Don't you always say that I know what I'm doing? Well, now I'm telling you, I know what I'm doing. Do you trust me?" Blake said seriously as he looked at Evelyn.

Upon hearing this, Evelyn was moved and then nodded. "I trust you."

Then, Evelyn didn't say anything more to Dora and went upstairs to her room.

Dora, on the other hand, felt uneasy because of Blake's words, thinking that she might fail today.

After Evelyn went to her room, Blake looked at Dora, who was in front of him. "Now you can tell."

Dora forced a smile. She got up and walked behind Blake. "Blake, you've been very tired these days. Let me give you a shoulder massage."

Without waiting for Blake's response, Dora started massaging his shoulders.

Blake frowned but didn't do much else. He just said, "If you're trying to make me change my mind about the divorce in this way, then don't waste your time."

Dora paused but continued massaging his shoulders. "I know you must hate me a lot right now, but I have no choice."

"If it weren't for you ignoring me all these years and making me feel so insecure, I wouldn't have ended up like this," she said, then started to cry softly.

"So, it's my fault?" Blake sneered, his voice cold.

"That's not what I mean," Dora explained.  She then continued, "All these years, I've always loved you. You should know that. Now that you're going to divorce me, I can't bear it."
