Chapter 446 Bury Them Together
Dermot thought Evelyn had a point and decided not to rush in. They would wait and see. It looked like the two individuals were arguing, and the one, named Susie, seemed very agitated.
"Weren't we planning on having these people join us in death? Why are you going back on your word?" Susie, with tears in her eyes, questioned with the gun aimed straight at the man.
As Evelyn had guessed, he the observer on this flight, called Louis Brown.
Louis felt helpless at Susie's intense emotions and reassured her, saying, "I am not going back on my word. I promised to die with you, and I will keep that promise."
"But I still have parents and loved ones. If I die, I should at least leave them some money, right?"
Susie fell silent, and Louis continued to comfort her, "I swear to you, as soon as we receive the money, I will steer the plane, straight towards Mount Everest, and have these people die with us."
Susie looked at him and believed him. She had no other option, apart from trusting him. Louis was satisfied and instructed her, "Keep an eye on these people and tell them that as long as Morris City government pays up, we won't harm them."
This statement was made to give the passengers, a glimmer of hope because, after all, if they were to revolt, it would be difficult for them to handle it even with guns.
"Okay, go ahead." She knew that Louis was going to contact the Morris City government, and now all she could do was pray that he would successfully get the money and then fly the plane to their death.
For her, death was the ultimate destination.
Louis left to the cockpit, and Susie relayed his message to the others. As expected, once this message was delivered, everyone remained quiet. Quite a few of them believed that the government would listen and help them, they wouldn’t ignore them, so they are still full of hope.
Only Evelyn and Dermot in the front row heard the conversation and knew that even if these two really got the money, they would never let them go. They couldn't just sit and wait for death.
Evelyn had already stood up, preparing to quietly approach the woman, subdue her, and then deal with the man, who was clearly in charge.
As she moved, Dermot stopped her, "I'll go."
In this dangerous situation, of course, he couldn't just watch Evelyn take risks. After all, he was a man, right? Before Evelyn could answer, Dermot had already moved and swiftly pounced on the woman when she wasn't paying attention, pinning her down, quickly taking the gun from her hand, and covering her mouth.
Just as the passengers were about to scream, Evelyn stood up and gestured for everyone to hush, so they covered their mouths and refrained from making any noise. Evelyn found a rope, securely tied up Susie, and gagged her, before she and Dermot quietly made their way to the cockpit.
"Trading the lives of everyone on this plane for five billion US dollars must be quite a profitable deal, don’t you think?" A voice came from inside, presumably Louis negotiating with the Morris City government.
"Transfer the funds to the account as I instructed. If it doesn't arrive within ten minutes, then get ready to collect the bodies of these people." He delivered the threat and immediately hung up.
He was confident that the government officials would agree. After all, there were hundreds of lives on the plane, and the officials couldn't dare to refuse. Thinking about the five billion US dollars he was about to be given, Louis was in a very good mood and had no worries about what might happen to Susie.
In his mind, the passengers on the plane were all cowards who valued their own lives and wouldn't dare to take action.
"Stay at the door," Dermot stopped Evelyn, preparing to go in and deal with Louis himself.
