Chapter 353 Good Man

Having her little trick exposed, Evelyn wasn't angry. Instead, she grinned and asked, "What if I couldn't learn?"

"If you really can't learn, then you can handle the dishwashing," Dermot smiled, holding the bowl of spaghetti as he walked out of the kitchen.

Evelyn followed him and pondered for a moment before saying, "That works too. We can buy a dishwasher, it's still better than cooking."

"Let's eat," Dermot didn't continue discussing this topic with her. He didn't really care whether Evelyn would do the cooking or the dishwashing in the future.

If worse comes to worst, they could hire a nanny. In fact, he was willing to cook for Evelyn himself, but sometimes, he was too busy and didn't have the time.

The two of them ate their spaghetti and chatted, just like an ordinary couple, without any hint of discord.

"For the next few days, rest well at home. I'll hire a nanny to cook for you," Dermot said as he ate, speaking to Evelyn.

Evelyn shook her head at his words. "No need, I can take care of myself."

She didn't like having outsiders in the house, and besides, even if she couldn't cook, she could always order takeout.

"In that case, I'll have our chef at Doyal Mansion prepare the meals and have them delivered," he referred to the chef at his own place since he hadn't arranged for a chef here.

Before Evelyn could continue refusing, Dermot added, "If you refuse again, then I'll have to bring you to work with me every day so I can take care of you."

"You have to make sure you eat on time every day."

He knew Evelyn's personality and understood that when she gets busy, she forgets to eat, so he had to keep an eye on her.

"...Alright." In the end, Evelyn could only agree to Dermot's proposal of delivering meals, because she couldn't really follow Dermot around.

After finishing the noodles, Dermot cleaned up the kitchen for Evelyn before preparing to leave.

Watching the busy man, Evelyn felt like giving him a hug.

Who says there are no good men? Isn't he one?

She felt lucky that she could meet someone as good as Dermot in her first romantic relationship, and she felt a little bit fortunate.

"How are you going to shower later?" Dermot turned back and asked at the door, somewhat concerned.

Evelyn felt embarrassed and hurriedly said, "Don't worry, I just have a minor injury, I can take care of myself."

She was on the verge of tears. Did she have to mention that she couldn't shower on her own and have Dermot help her?

"Don't misunderstand, I just thought that if you couldn't shower, I could find someone to help you." Dermot touched his nose, easing the awkwardness.

"Who would you find?" Evelyn asked instinctively.

"Ruby Kite." Dermot answered. He thought Ruby and Evelyn were good friends, so it wouldn't be too awkward for her to help.

Evelyn was moved by his thoughtfulness but still shook her head, "No need, I can do it myself."

"Okay then, let me know if you need anything." Dermot instructed once again, afraid that Evelyn would bear it and not call him.

Evelyn nodded, "I know."

Now Dermot truly had nothing else to say, he could only get up and leave, back to his own house opposite Evelyn's.

As soon as he left, Evelyn closed the door and couldn't hide her smile.

Wasn't Dermot being too silly just now?

Evelyn chuckled, while Dermot on the other side of the door had a gloomy face, "Did you inform the police? I don't want to see him living so happily."

He promised Evelyn not to lay a hand on anyone, but in Dermot's mind, as long as someone wasn't killed, it didn't count as violence.

"I don't want to see intentional harm, I want to see intentional murder. Arrange everything with the Peterson family, make sure that Marina comes forward as a witness, and make sure Robert can never leave again."

Ending the call, Dermot walked to the window and looked at the night outside, his gaze deep.
