Chapter 461 It's You Who Ruined Me

After listening to Dermot, Evelyn was surprised. She truly hadn't expected that Dermot had already sought out a doctor. While she felt relieved, she also had some concerns.

With a psychiatrist involved, how could Dermot still be in his current state? Evelyn didn't know much about psychology, so she refrained from saying too much and kept her concerns to herself.

"That's good," she said. She didn't insist that Dermot go to the doctor she had found. As long as he continued to see a doctor, she believed things would eventually get better.

The two didn't discuss this matter any further. After dinner, Evelyn got up to clean the dishes and left Dermot's place after washing them.

Just as Evelyn returned home, planning to take a shower and rest early, she heard a knock on the door. Before she could even ask who it was, she heard the drunken shouts from outside.

"Evelyn! Open the door for me!" the woman shouted. "You've left me with nothing. Are you satisfied? Are you happy now?"

"I divorced Oliver, all thanks to you. If it weren't for you, I would have become Dermot's wife a long time ago, but now I've ended up in this situation." She yelled, continuously banging on Evelyn's door.

Evelyn didn't want to deal with Natalie’s dramatic outburst right now, but it was already late and Natalie's disturbance was quite significant. If this continued, the neighbors upstairs and downstairs would definitely be annoyed.

Eventually Evelyn had no choice but to open the door ever so slightly. As she did she caught a whiff of the alcohol emanating from Natalie, she frowned. How much had she been drinking?

Across from her, Dermot also heard Natalie's voice. He opened the door, but his expression was not pleasant to look at.

Natalie glanced at Evelyn and then at Dermot. Tearfully, she walked towards Dermot. "Dermot, I divorced Oliver." She said.

Dermot didn't react at all.

"Dermot, for the sake of our past friendship, please help me again." Natalie pleaded.

Unwilling to become an ordinary person, she wanted Dermot's help. As long as Dermot helped her, she believed she would be successful in any business she pursued.

Unfortunately, the current Dermot had long since lost his patience with Natalie.

"Do you know why you still have a chance to stand here?" Dermot questioned.

Natalie stood frozen, unable to answer.

"It is because I once considered you a friend, otherwise, based on what you did to Evelyn, you would have died countless times by now." Dermot said indifferently.

His words were cold and devoid of emotion, cold enough to make Natalie tremble. As she stared into his deep eyes.

"Dermot, don't forget that it was me, who stood by your side during those difficult days, not Evelyn or anyone else." Natalie defended.

"Do you not know why I targeted Evelyn? It's all because of you." She shouted at Dermot angrily.

Unfortunately, her anger didn't evoke any emotions from Dermot. He looked at her without any trace of emotion.

"Disappear from Evelyn’s sight immediately, or else..." Dermot threatened casually.

"Otherwise, don't blame me for being impolite." He thought he had been merciful enough.

Although Natalie was intoxicated, she could still sense the coldness emanating from Dermot. Having a good instincts and sensing danger in this moment, she dared not continue speaking to him.

However, that didn't mean she would leave, instead she turned around and confronted Evelyn head-on.

"It's you who ruined me! It's you who ruined me!" Natalie roared at Evelyn, as if she could vent the anger in her heart by doing so.

Unfortunately, Evelyn felt no guilt whatsoever towards Natalie. She looked at Natalie calmly and said, "I didn't ruin you; you ruined yourself."

If it weren't for her twisted thoughts, how would she have ended up like this today? Evelyn thought.
