Chapter 349 Go to Hell

Glancing casually at the knife in Robert's hand, Evelyn didn't pay much attention to it. Just as he was about to make contact, she made her move.

Swiftly and precisely, she grabbed his wrist, causing a sound of pain and making the knife fall to the ground.

With a cold expression, Evelyn effortlessly flipped Robert over her shoulder, slamming him onto the ground like a pile of mud.

Just as Marina finished her plea, Evelyn's one-sided act against Robert came to an abrupt end, leaving people unable to react in time.

After a while, Marina looked at Evelyn, who was still standing in the same spot, then at Robert, writhing in pain on the ground. She didn't know who to be cautious of anymore.

Slowly coming back to her senses, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Eve, you're so skilled!"

"Yeah, I learned a little before," Evelyn didn't deny.

"That's amazing," Marina sincerely praised. She had wanted to learn martial arts when she was young, but her parents refused, saying it was too dangerous and not suitable for girls.

Now, seeing Evelyn, she realized how foolish those stereotypes were.

Who says girls can't defend themselves?

Suitable for girls, girls look even cooler when they get active. Marina walked up to Robert, looking proud as she stared at him. "What qualifications do you have to be a father? You're just a jerk."

"Wait, I'll call the police right now and have you arrested," she said as she took out her phone, intending to frame him for intentional harm. She believed he could serve a few years for sure.

Evelyn stood by without stopping her. She had already given Robert a chance, but since he didn't cherish it, there was no need to let him off the hook any longer.

The police answered the call, and Marina explained the situation in detail, completely oblivious to the fact that Robert had already picked up the knife from the ground at some point.

"Go to hell!"

In a flash, the blade appeared as he shouted and charged towards Marina.

If he couldn't harm Evelyn, could he still not harm the woman in front of him? He refused to believe that everyone had such good skills!

"Be careful!"

Evelyn shouted as she rushed forward without thinking and pushed Marina out of the way.

"Eve!" Marina fell to the ground after being pushed, but Evelyn stood in her place, having been stabbed by Robert's knife.

Enduring the pain, Evelyn kicked Robert away and then took a moment to lower her head and look at the wound on her waist.

"Eve!" Marina looked at the bleeding wound and for a moment didn't know what to say.

Evelyn waved her hand at her saying, "I'm fine. Quickly call for help so he doesn't escape."

Now Evelyn wouldn't let Robert go.

Marina ran to the roadside to call for help and quickly dialed emergency services, feeling extremely anxious.

Returning to Evelyn's side, she saw that although she appeared unscathed, her face had turned pale. "Eve, let's go to the hospital first."

"No hurry, wait for the police to come." She wouldn't leave until she saw Robert being taken away by the police.

A person like him, give him even the slightest opportunity, and he would immediately slip away. Who knows what trouble he might cause in the future.

Marina opened her mouth to say something, but ultimately refrained. Robert was indeed despicable, and she understood Evelyn's thoughts. She had to see him being taken away by the police with her own eyes before she could rest assured.

With passersby keeping watch and the police quickly arriving, Evelyn finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Robert being escorted into the police car. Only then did she feel the pain, and cold sweat instantly broke out on her forehead.

Luckily, an ambulance also arrived, and Marina accompanied Evelyn as they got into the car and headed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Dermot, who was with a client, suddenly felt a pang in his heart, and his face turned pale.

"Mr. Doyle, are you alright?" Todd quietly asked, noticing that his CEO's complexion seemed off.

Shaking his head, Dermot said to him, "Continue chatting with them, I'll go back first."

He couldn't rest easy without seeing Evelyn with his own eyes. He had a feeling that something might happen.

"Alright, I'll call a driver for you," Todd said, taking out his phone and making the call. He didn't stop Dermot from going back.

Everything that needed to be discussed had already been settled.
