Chapter 425 What Does He Understand?
"Evelyn, what kind of person am I, in your heart?" Dermot suddenly spoke, his tone calm, devoid of anger, and unable to convey any emotion.
Evelyn frowned, looking at him, and only after a while did she say, "A liar, with a mouth full of lies!"
As the words fell, she clearly saw Dermot's face turning pale, presumably feeling very uncomfortable. But who could blame him? His words were filled with lies from the beginning.
“I understand,” the man nodded, sneered lightly, and turned to leave.
Understood? What did he understand? Evelyn didn't know, nor did she go after him to ask. She just stood in place, watching Dermot's figure disappear. For some reason, while she watched him walk away, she felt a hint of pain in her heart.
Dermot had been gone for who knows how long before Evelyn closed the door and returned to her room, lying back on the bed. But now, she had completely lost her sleepiness.
At Moris City Airport, as the boarding time approached, Greg anxiously looked left and right, but Evelyn did not show up, leaving him worried. Could it be that she had changed her mind and didn't want to go to Colombia anymore?

"Are you here? The plane is about to take off," as soon as the call connected, Greg hurriedly asked.

"What... what's with the sunglasses?" Greg pointed at her sunglasses, feeling a little puzzled.
Evelyn shook her head, "Nothing, it's sunny."
Greg looked at the cloudy weather outside and thought, even if you want to make an excuse, at least make a better one. Where's the sun?
"Aren't we going to take off soon? Let's go," Evelyn didn't give him a chance to continue questioning and walked towards the security checkpoint.
Helpless, Greg had no choice but to follow. Before long, the two successfully boarded the plane, and only then did Evelyn take off her sunglasses. Greg looked at the dark circles under her eyes and finally understood why she wanted to wear sunglasses.
"Didn't sleep well last night? Could it be because you're nervous about meeting my parents?" Greg joked, after all, they were going to meet each other's parents. Evelyn rolled her eyes at him, meeting parents? As if they had some kind of relationship.
"Just kidding," Greg feared that she would get angry, so he laughed and said, "Didn't rest well last night?"
"Yeah," Evelyn nodded, squinting her eyes, leaning against the seat.
Greg wanted to ask for the reason, but he opened his mouth he couldn’t bring himself to ask anything. It seemed like Evelyn didn't want to say why either, so he let the topic rest.
"Then sleep for a while, I'll wake you up when we're close," Moris City to Colombia wasn't too far, but it was still a two-hour flight, enough time for Evelyn to rest.
Evelyn made a sound of agreement and didn't speak again. It seemed like she really intended to rest.
The airplane took off, accompanied by the roaring sound in Evelyn's ears. She knew that she had left Moris City, and there was an indescribable feeling in her heart.
In the morning, the news of Dermot and Lassie's breakup was revealed by the Doyle Group, and both parties came out to admit it. This matter could be, considered to be resolved. However, Dermot wasn't feeling happy at all.
After leaving Evelyn last night, he went straight back to the company, intending to distract himself with busyness and not think about that woman. But he soon realized that it was impossible for him to do so.
"Mr. Doyle." Todd knocked on the door and entered, seeing the frown on his CEO's face, knowing that he was troubled.
"What's the matter?" Dermot asked.
"Ms. Kyte went to Colombia." Todd had just received the news from the security guard responsible for protecting Evelyn's safety. They could only watch as Evelyn boarded the plane without being able to stop her.
