Chapter 209 Stop Pretending, Evelyn
As three of them watched Evelyn, she felt somewhat amused and at a loss. "Since Oliver has said that, of course, I will give her a chance."
It was normal not to give Natalie any chance. But for now, Evelyn didn’t want to be at odds with the Stanley family, at least not directly.
"So, Ms. Kyte means that you are willing to forgive Natalie?" Oliver was surprised, as he did not expect Evelyn to be so easy to talk to.
"Of course," Evelyn nodded.
Upon receiving confirmation, Oliver was very happy and looked at Dermot. "And Mr. Doyle?"
"I will follow Evelyn's lead," he said. In front of outsiders, he behaved as if whatever Evelyn said went. Those who didn't know might think they had an intimate relationship.
Oliver smiled as he was not against Dermot. He was satisfied with this result.
In the next moment, Oliver raised his glass and said to Evelyn and Dermot, "I, Oliver Stanley, would like to thank both of you. If there is anything I can do to help in the future, I will do my best."
Evelyn thought to herself that this Oliver was not bad But it was a pity she fell in love with someone she shouldn't have.
The four of them had dinner together, and the atmosphere was harmonious. It seems that everyone was satisfied.
During this time, Evelyn got up to go to the restroom, and Natalie quickly followed suit.
Inside the restroom, while Evelyn was touching up her makeup, she saw Natalie appears and thought. Did she really come?
Natalie stood next to her, not making any moves, but simply gazed at her intently.
After a while, Evelyn finished her makeup and turned to look at Natalie. "When you look at me like this, is there something you want to say, Natalie?"
Because they had just had a good conversation, they were already calling each other Natalie and Evelyn, giving off the impression of longtime friends.
"Don't call me that. It makes me sick."
With a cold face, Natalie did not conceal her disgust for Evelyn when there were no outsiders present.
Evelyn, however, looked shocked, covering her mouth and speaking in disbelief, "Natalie, what do you mean? We just agreed to be good friends."
"Friends?" Natalie sneered, "Don't act like that, Evelyn. I don't believe you're that naive."
With the conversation reaching this point, Evelyn felt that if she continued to pretend, she would be somewhat disrespectful. "Fine, I also feel disgusted calling you Natalie."
"So, what are you up to today? Acting for someone? Oliver?" she asked.
Natalie's quick decision to stop pretending surprised Evelyn. She thought Natalie would at least continue pretending for a while, but it turns out that the dinner wasn't even finished...
"You're right. I do have my own purpose for this act today," Natalie admitted, walking up to Evelyn.
Faced with Natalie's approach, Evelyn's back went cold, feeling cautious.
However, the next scene was something Evelyn didn't expect.
Natalie raised her hand and slapped herself in the face, and just as Evelyn was surprised, she slapped herself again.
Like this, Natalie continuously slapped herself, and Evelyn watched as five fingerprints appeared on the other's cheek, feeling a bit perplexed.
What was she trying to do?
Self-harm?
After Natalie finished slapping herself, Evelyn looked at her thoughtfully and said, "You don't want to set me up in this way, do you?"
Evelyn thought that if Natalie really had such thoughts, she must be very boring.
Natalie didn't answer. She turned and walked out of the bathroom, and then Evelyn heard her crying, running towards the dining hall.
As the crying faded away, Evelyn smirked and stood up, walking out of the bathroom. She wanted to see what kind of trick Natalie wanted to play!
