Chapter 1069: He Won't Marry
"Phoebe's pregnant," Evelyn blurted out, figuring everyone would find out soon anyway.
Joshua was stunned. "Is the baby Aidan's?" he asked, unsure.
"Yeah," Evelyn confirmed.
Joshua frowned, finding it hard to believe.
Regaining his composure, he asked, "Aidan doesn't know yet, right?"
If he did, he wouldn't be so calm.
"He doesn't know. I'm not sure how to tell him," Evelyn admitted, feeling lost.
But she knew Aidan had to be told. Craig already insisted Aidan should marry Phoebe, and Evelyn agreed.
If it was just a fling, she wouldn't care as much. But with a baby involved, everything changed.
Joshua sensed her hesitation. "Aidan probably won't marry Phoebe, baby or not," he said.
"Do you think he'd ask her to get an abortion?" Evelyn asked. If so, she definitely wouldn't tell him.
Joshua nodded. "Instead of pushing Aidan to marry Phoebe, maybe you should convince Phoebe to get an abortion."
Evelyn was shocked. She didn't expect Joshua to say that.
"Don't overthink it. It's better to cut ties with someone who doesn't love you," Joshua said.
Joshua likely shared Aidan's view and wouldn't marry someone he didn't love. But as a woman, Evelyn couldn't suggest an abortion to Phoebe.
Deciding to talk to another woman, Evelyn called Sarah.
Though closer to Ruby, Sarah had more life experience.
"He should marry her! He made the mistake, he should take responsibility!" Sarah said bluntly after hearing Evelyn out.
Evelyn regretted thinking Sarah was more mature. Sarah was just as emotional.
"How did I not realize Aidan's such a jerk? He slept with Phoebe and won't take responsibility. Now there's a baby, and he still won't step up. It's infuriating!" Sarah added.
Evelyn was speechless. "Aidan doesn't know about the pregnancy yet," she explained.
"Even if he knew, he probably wouldn't marry Phoebe," Sarah said. She had spent time in Tara Village and knew Aidan a bit.
Hearing this, Evelyn felt hopeless. "You think Aidan won't marry Phoebe either?" she asked.
"In this situation, he has to marry her," Sarah said angrily. "He made the mistake, so he should take responsibility!"
Evelyn was speechless. After all, Phoebe took advantage of Aidan being drunk, so it was hard to say who was at fault.
"I'm just worried Aidan won't agree," Evelyn said. She believed marriage couldn't be forced if Aidan wasn't willing.
