Chapter 164 Don't Take Me for a Fool
But Todd, as his assistant, couldn't help but shiver; he knew that his boss was truly angry.
Natalie raised her head, deadpan, and said calmly, "I had no choice. If I didn't marry you, I would have to marry that fat guy from the Stanley family."
"Do you think you can marry me in this way?" Dermot sneered; he didn't know why Natalie was so confident.
What could two pictures of them lying together prove? He knew very well that nothing had happened between them.
"At least there is a possibility. " She told him, not caring about her image.
Dermot's face became serious as he struggled to restrain the urge to hit someone.
Natalie, however, didn't care; she smiled and said to him, "Even if you don't marry me, believe me, when Evelyn sees the news, not only will she not be with you, but she will also hate you even more."
In an instant, Dermot exploded and grabbed Natalie's jaw, saying, "Is this your real intention?"
Natalie stayed silent, which was confirming it.
Dermot threw her to the ground and stopped looking at her, saying, "Watch her. I'll come back!"
He wouldn't let her off easily, but at this moment, Dermot had more important things to do.
Robert's apartment, Evelyn had breakfast and changed her clothes. She was just about to leave when she heard a knock on the door. Who would come to see her so early? With these doubts, she opened the door and saw Dermot standing at the doorway, which surprised her.
After a moment, she realized that it wasn't her imagination and coldly asked, "Mr. Doyle, what can I do for you?" She pretended as if she wasn't familiar with him, even though they were secretly living together with Natalie. Just thinking about it made her want to vomit.
Dermot didn't get angry at Evelyn's words. In fact, he didn't even dare to raise his head and look at her. Seeing this, Evelyn felt more confirmed that Dermot was involved with Natalie. What a scumbag!
"Evelyn, I swear that nothing happened between Natalie and me. All those online rumors are nonsense!" Dermot explained.
Evelyn didn't believe him at all. Just as she was about to speak up, she suddenly reacted, "Online?"
"What happened online?" she said and reached for her phone to check the news.
Dermot wanted to stop her, but he knew it was pointless. He was surprised that Evelyn didn't know about what was happening online. Then he realized what Evelyn's attitude meant earlier...
While he was still confused, Evelyn had already scrolled through the news and her face turned even uglier than before. She looked at Dermot with an indescribable discomfort, feeling suffocated and not wanting to see this man at all.
"It seems that Mr. Doyle is about to have some good news. Congratulations!" The online rumors were saying that Dermot was about to marry Natalie, and Evelyn felt it was true. They were sleeping together, so what else could they be doing if not getting married?
Dermot also felt uneasy and tried to explain, "I didn't know she would drug me, Evelyn. I don't like her."
Drug him? Evelyn chuckled and pointed to the photos on her phone, asking, "Did she drug you to let you have dinner with her too?"
Setting aside whether the drugging was true or not, as long as Dermot didn't eat this meal with Natalie, wouldn't everything be okay? And it was a fancy restaurant, it looked like a date.
Plus, last night when she called Dermot, Natalie answered and said he was showering. Could he still shower after being drugged?
"Dermot, don't take me for a fool!"
