Chapter 324 I'm Not a Fool
Inside the car, Greg was bewildered. Did Dermot already know that he was going to compete with him for Evelyn, so he was planning to take action against him?
He's way too audacious!
Doesn't he even consider who he is?
With this in mind, Greg got out of the car. He was curious to see what Dermot could possibly do to him.
When Dermot saw Greg getting out of the car, he was also surprised. Frowning, he hadn't even spoken yet when Greg took the lead and said, "Dermot, what do you want? You dare to lay a hand on me?"
"Why were you following us?" the man asked directly, frowning.
Greg felt a bit guilty at his words, but quickly regained his composure. "Who was following you? I was planning on coming here anyway."
"So, this restaurant is only for you two, and I can't come?" Despite deciding to snatch Evelyn away, he didn't know what to do for a moment.
Dermot glanced at him, then gestured for Todd to take the others away. He himself walked into the restaurant with Evelyn, completely ignoring Greg's presence.
Greg hurriedly followed suit, smiling as he approached Evelyn. "Evelyn, let's eat together. I don't have any friends or anything in Moris City. We've become quite familiar, so you can't just ignore me, can you?"
He acted clingy towards Evelyn, making Dermot's expression turn unpleasant. "Mr. Hamilton, don't you know what it means to disturb? You're joining even when Evey and I have a date. Do you think that's appropriate?"
"Of course, it's appropriate. What's not appropriate?" Greg didn't bat an eye or skip a beat; he simply had one thing in mind, to bind himself with them.
Dermot's face turned dark. Why did he feel like hitting someone?
Evelyn looked at the situation and felt it was getting bad. She hurriedly said, "It's okay, if he wants to join, let him."
"Evey!" Dermot was displeased.
Evelyn turned to Marina and whispered something in her ear, then leaned close to Dermot and said something. Dermot's expression immediately improved, but he still didn't treat Greg politely.
With a cold snort, the three of them walked into the restaurant and found a seat.
Greg wasn't feeling good inside. Seeing the affectionate interaction between Evelyn and Dermot earlier, he felt like there might be some genuine feelings between the two.
But...remembering his grandfather's words, he immediately dismissed the thought.
Dermot must be pretending, just to gain Evelyn's trust. He couldn't let himself be deceived by him.
"What would you like to eat?" Dermot asked Evelyn, handing her the menu.
Evelyn didn't hesitate. After all, she and Dermot were in a relationship now, so being too polite would be strange. She ordered a few dishes, including her favorites and some that Dermot enjoyed, then handed the menu to Greg. "Since you just arrived in Moris City, consider this meal my treat."
Greg smirked but didn't say anything. He took the menu and ordered two dishes.
With Greg around, Dermot didn't have a chance to say anything flirtatious to Evelyn, and he couldn't help but feel a bit resentful towards him.
On the other hand, Evelyn...
Looking at Greg with interest, she asked directly, "I'm actually curious, you just said that Dermot and you have the same goal, what is your goal?"
Greg stiffened slightly, feeling a bit embarrassed. "N-no... I was just talking nonsense."
"Just talking nonsense?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing him.
"Mr. Hamilton, I'm not a fool."
Evelyn gave a faint smile and continued to question Greg, "You specifically came all the way from Colombia, just for me, right?"
It's not that she's conceited, it's what Greg himself said. He came to find her as soon as he arrived in Moris City, so if it's not for her, then what else could it be?
