Chapter 193 I'll Watch Over Him
The professional rescue team arrived, and in no time, they excavated the rubble that buried the elementary school, revealing its original appearance.
"The person is here!"
With a loud shout, everyone rushed over, including Evelyn.
She wanted to help, but she realized that she couldn't do much. She could only wait silently on the side, watching as Dermot was dug out.
"Ms. Kyte!" Todd shouted, his heart in great turmoil upon seeing Dermot unconscious.
Evelyn was right there and walked over. "Put him in an empty space first."
There were several children under the hole, and they were all unharmed.
"Aidan protected us," one of the rescued children said.
Everyone's emotions were complicated. Even Evelyn was surprised. In her mind, Dermot had never been the kind of person who would sacrifice his own life to save others.

She was perplexed. Could it be that she had been misunderstanding him all along?
Although she had many thoughts in her mind, her hands didn't stop. She began to treat Dermot.

The unconscious Dermot was taken into a tent to recuperate, and after Evelyn treated the wounds of the other children, she stayed by his side. She couldn't explain why, but she had to witness Dermot waking up with her own eyes.
During more rescue teams arrived. At this point, all the people in Willowbrook had been found, but the number was large, almost all the houses had collapsed, and the villagers wore worried expressions, unsure of how they would live in the future.
Two days later, Dermot woke up.
"Ms. Kyte, why hasn't Mr. Doyle woken up yet? Wasn't it said that there wasn't anything serious?" Outside the tent, Todd's voice carried a kind of worry.
It was unknown who leaked the news that Dermot had come to Willowbrook, and even +even Deputy White knew about it.
The news of being trapped under the house has spread, and now everyone outside says he is dead.

He leaned against the head of the bed, his eyes fixed on her.
