Chapter 88 Is It Your Family's Restaurant?
The two of them left the hospital together. Marina drove, and Evelyn waited for her by the roadside.
Shortly after, a black and white Ferrari parked in front of Evelyn. It was at this moment that Evelyn faintly felt that her assistant seemed to be quite wealthy.
She got into the car and couldn't help but laugh, "You're so rich, why did you choose to become a doctor? You know, this profession is very tough."
"I'm already so wealthy, of course, I want to do something more meaningful," Marina replied. When her family asked her this question before, she answered the same way.
Evelyn chuckled, felt ironic.
Before long, the car stopped at the entrance of the most upscale shopping mall in Moris City. The two got out of the car, with Marina holding Evelyn's arm. "Dr. Kyte, let's have a meal first," Marina said.
"Okay," Evelyn nodded, then added, "You can call me Evelyn outside."
Marina covered her mouth, filled with joy, "You told me your name! Does this mean we are friends now?"
"Didn't you ask before?" She didn't mind others knowing her name, she just didn't bother to say it if no one asked.
Marina scratched the back of her head and said with a smile, "I was too afraid to ask."
Even though she was Evelyn's assistant, their relationship had always been distant, and Marina didn't dare to ask casually, afraid of causing her aversion.
"Am I that scary?" Evelyn felt that she was still relatively gentle, not to the extent of scaring people.
Marina nodded at first, then shook her head, "No, it's just that I'm timid."
Evelyn chuckled, not dwelling on this question anymore, and asked her, "What do you want to eat?"
"The Taste of Congee, this restaurant has great flavors, Eve, you must try it," she didn't directly call Evelyn by her name, but changed it to Eve, bringing them closer.
Evelyn didn't refuse. Although she had just eaten a while ago, that restaurant did have good flavors, so it was fine to eat there a few more times.
As they approached the entrance of the restaurant, they saw that there were many people waiting in line. Just when Evelyn thought they would have to wait for a long time, Marina led her straight in.
Evelyn heard the server at the entrance call her, "Lady."
"Is this restaurant owned by your family?" This truly surprised Evelyn.
"Well, my parents started with the food and beverage industry, and Congee's Taste was their first restaurant," Marina said.
Marina took out a card from her bag and handed it to Evelyn, saying, "This diamond card can allow you to skip the line every time you come."
Evelyn didn't reach out to take it, and Marina quickly said, "Don't worry, there's no money inside."
"Okay," Evelyn then took it.
"Lady, the usual seat you sit at is already occupied by a customer, what do you think..." The server looked hesitant; they didn't know Marina would come today.
Marina, however, didn't mind, "It's okay, just find any seat."
She preferred a seat by the window, but it wasn't necessary to sit in that exact spot. A guest was a guest, why would she argue with someone over a seat?
The server led the two to a seat in the dining hall.
It was bustling all around, indicating that the business was excellent.
"The private rooms are all taken, Eve, don't mind, I'll book in advance next time," Marina felt a bit embarrassed. Even though she was a Lady, she still needed to book a private room in advance.
Evelyn shook her head and didn't mind, "It's already good enough. Last time, I waited for over an hour before being seated."
So, in the end, she was stood up by Ruby Kite.
She was so angry!
"Huh, you don't have to wait next time," Marina said, taking the menu and handing it to Evelyn.
Just as she said she could order whatever she want, she caught sight of a familiar face sitting in her usual spot.
"Mr. Doyle?" She was surprised.
Evelyn looked over at the sound and happened to see Dermot feeding Natalie.
