Chapter 300 Cut Your Tongue
A chill instantly spread throughout the surroundings as Dermot stared at Emily Morgans with a warning look. "If I ever hear you badmouthing Evelyn again, I will cut out your tongue."
After gesturing with a knife twice, he turned and went back to his room, leaving Emily Morgans frozen in place, still shocked by his threat.
The wooden door was destined to have poor sound insulation, and Dermot and Emily Morgans' conversation could be heard word for word by Evelyn.
Her heart felt as sweet as honey, and even the entire room seemed to exude a sweet scent.
Turning over, Evelyn forced herself not to think about that man and tried to fall asleep.
The next day, the weather was clear.
When Evelyn woke up, Dermot was already waiting for her in the courtyard. "Didn't sleep well?"
Evelyn had dark circles under her eyes, and anyone who didn't know would think she had done something last night.
She glared at him without saying a word.
Dermot looked innocent. What did he do?
He would never know that Evelyn had spent the whole night tossing and turning because of him.
I couldn't fall asleep, but finally managed to fall asleep. I actually dreamt about this man, it would be strange if I could sleep well.
After breakfast, Evelyn got ready to leave. After all, there were still many things to attend to in Moris City, and she couldn't take too much time off from the hospital.
Although she was in a hurry, she still took the time to run to her master and asked casually, "Master, I encountered a very skilled man in Moris City this time. I am no match for him."
"Oh?" Grandpa Doyle with white hair was very surprised, "In this small city of Moris City, you could actually encounter someone more skilled than you?"
Evelyn helplessly stayed silent, not only were there more skilled individuals, but Dermot who came along was one of them.
Grandpa Doyle stroked his beard, seemingly deep in thought.
After a while, he said, "Those few guys who could teach someone more skilled than my disciple, they can't handle it if someone messes with their own. Did anything unpleasant happen between you and that person?"
Evelyn stood awkwardly, "He...committed suicide."
Grandpa Doyle had a black line on his face, and Evelyn had to explain the cause and the encounter with the other person. After hearing it, Grandpa Doyle's expression also became extremely solemn.
"This matter seems to be complicated," Grandpa Doyle said.
Evelyn nodded, she also felt the same.
But soon, Grandpa Doyle put on a smile again, "Don't worry, as your master, even if that person's master really comes seeking revenge, I can handle it."
"I'm not worried about that, I'm just afraid of causing trouble for you." She knew that her masters all protected her, but precisely because of that, Evelyn didn't want to give them any trouble.
"If you don't cause trouble, then how can i make you stronger as your master?" Grandpa Doyle jokingly asked, not taking it seriously at all.
After chatting for a while, Evelyn bid farewell and left Tara Village with Dermot and the others.
On the way back to Moris City, Dermot drove while Evelyn sat in the passenger seat, and Emily Morgans and the two children sat in the back.
"Evelyn, I have nowhere to stay in Moris City. Can I stay with you temporarily?" she asked.
Evelyn nodded. Since she brought her out, she couldn't just leave her alone. If something were to happen to Emily Morgans, her uncle would be heartbroken.
Emily Morgans secretly delighted. As long as she lived with Evelyn, she would frequently encounter Dermot. As long as they met often, she would have a chance.
"Dermot, it's my first time in Moris City and I'm not familiar with any places. Can you take me around tomorrow?" she sweetly asked Dermot, who was driving.
