Chapter 403 Discussing a Collaboration
Dermot was somewhat surprised by Lassie's direct rejection. It was truly unexpected for him. However, he wasn't upset and wasn't interested either. "Hmm, I have no objection."
Well, it turns out she wasn't interested in him. No wonder her attitude was so bad. Lassie couldn't help feeling bitter.
"Then I'll leave first." She didn't want to spend another second with this man, or else she would be driven mad sooner or later.
Seeing her about to leave, Dermot quickly spoke up, "Since we're already here, let's eat first. After the meal, Miss Baker and I can discuss a collaboration."
Lassie originally wanted to get up, but upon hearing this, she sat back down. "Alright." She was curious about what kind of collaboration Dermot was planning with her.
Meanwhile, they were unaware of Evelyn's extremely upset mood on the other side.
After dropping Marina off at home, it was only Evelyn and Greg in the car, both of them avoiding speaking, creating a tense atmosphere.
Greg, feeling helpless, finally broke the silence, "Don't you want to know who the woman with Dermot is?"

Evelyn didn't know, and she could even confirm that there was no such person in Moris City. Otherwise, she would have known about her when she was investigating information about Moris City earlier.
"It's Lady Baker from the Baker family in Columbia," Greg replied. He knew her, but they weren't acquainted. They had seen each other a few times at formal events, but never exchanged greetings.

Evelyn murmured in her heart, seemingly speculating something.

Subconsciously, Evelyn felt that Dermot wasn't that kind of person, so proud and unlikely to seek higher connections. Maybe they were just discussing business matters?
"The Doyle family and the Baker family have never had any connections, especially not in terms of business," Greg shattered her illusions without mercy.
Evelyn became infuriated and glared at him, saying, "Why are you telling me all this? I've already broken up with him. It's none of my concern who he's with now."
After saying that, as soon as the car stopped, Evelyn pushed the door open and stormed out without looking back, heading straight into the residential complex. She didn't want to spend another second with Greg; this man was too infuriating.
Watching her walk away, Greg didn't get angry. In fact, a slight smile unconsciously appeared on his lips. "Evelyn, I find you more and more interesting."

Greg took out his phone and dialed a number leisurely. "Find out why the Baker family member came to Morris City."
At the Doyle Mansion of the Doyle family, Benjamin looked at Dermot who had returned and asked, "Well, how did it go with Lassie?"
"Um, it went well," Dermot answered.
Benjamin felt delighted, thinking he had a chance. "Since you think she's good, then spend more time with her. Lassie is a good person, plus her status is better than that of Evelyn."
When he mentioned Evelyn, Dermot, who had been expressionless, instantly turned gloomy. He lowered his head so that Benjamin couldn't see the murderous intent that flashed across his eyes.
