Chapter 978: Then can you do me a favor
Evelyn stepped into the cabin, instantly feeling the warmth chase away the cold.
Outside, Keith was still directing the workers, making sure everything was perfect. He was really into it, handling every detail himself.
Evelyn was surprised by Keith's big change. Maybe he found someone he really connected with, which explained his behavior.
"Evelyn," Dermot suddenly said. She looked at him. "Why didn't he do this inside? It's freezing out there."
Evelyn didn't answer directly. Instead, she asked, "Why do you think he chose today to confess to Sarah?"
It wasn't a proposal; Keith just wanted Sarah to agree to be his girlfriend.
"No clue," Dermot said after thinking for a bit.
Evelyn thought Dermot could be smart sometimes, but other times, not so much. "Didn't he say it? It's the first snow of winter. Don't you think that's romantic?"
"Not really," Dermot replied. He just felt cold.
He'd definitely pick a cozy spot to confess, making sure Evelyn wasn't freezing.
"If you don't find it romantic, why'd you drag me out early to see the snow?" Evelyn shot him a look. Wasn't it because Dermot thought the snowy scene was beautiful and romantic?
Dermot coughed, a bit embarrassed. "I thought since we're both from Moris City and never saw heavy snow, we should check it out."
He really hadn't thought about anything else.
At that time, he just wanted Evelyn to see the snow. What happened after was unplanned.
Evelyn wanted to say something but then remembered Dermot's personality and understood.
"Everyone sees things differently. Keith thinks the first snow is romantic, so he chose this time to confess to Sarah," Evelyn said.
Dermot nodded and softly asked, "Should I have told you how I felt this morning?"
Evelyn glared at him. "What are you thinking? I wouldn't have said yes."
In such a romantic setting, it was easy to get swept up. Evelyn wasn't sure what she'd do if Dermot had confessed.
Luckily, he didn't.
As they talked, the waiter brought hot coffee. They sat by the window, watching Keith outside.
Then, it started snowing heavily again, making everything look like a movie.
Keith texted Evelyn, saying everything was ready and she could call Sarah.
Evelyn dialed Sarah's number.
"Evelyn, what's up?" Sarah's tone was indifferent, and she sounded busy.
Evelyn glanced at Keith outside and asked, "Sarah, are you busy?"
"Not really," Sarah replied.
"Can you do me a favor?"
Over ten minutes later, Sarah, in a black down jacket, hurried to meet Evelyn at the park entrance.
"Evelyn, what's going on? You're being so mysterious." Sarah got out of the car, pulling her jacket tighter.
