Chapter 1158: Do You Think I'm Drunk
Sarah opened her mouth, paused for a sec, and then said, "I really dig it, thanks."
"Sarah, I'm your hubby now. If you wanna thank me, can't you do it in a better way?" Keith grumbled. Sarah's tone made it seem like they were just acquaintances.
Sarah's cheeks turned crimson, but maybe 'cause she had a few drinks, she got bolder. She leaned in and gave Keith a quick kiss on the lips, saying, "How's that?"
"Nope," Keith replied.
"What?"
In the next moment, Keith pulled her into his arms, and his kiss went from a light peck to something way more intense.
Cheers and whistles erupted around them. Sarah felt like she wanted to vanish.
The kiss seemed to last forever, and when it finally ended, Sarah's face was as red as a tomato, either from lack of air or pure embarrassment.
Feeling super embarrassed, she shot Keith a glare and bolted upstairs.
Keith chuckled. They were already hitched, and she was still so shy. What was the future gonna be like?
Evelyn and her crew were on the sidelines, having joined in the cheering earlier. It was hard not to feel a bit jealous of this happy moment.
She turned her head, wanting to say something to Dermot, but saw that he was staring at her with an intense look.
Evelyn coughed lightly and took a couple of steps to the side. "There are so many people here; don't do anything crazy."
Not to mention that many folks here they didn't know well, this was Keith and Sarah's wedding bash. They weren't the stars of the show. Evelyn didn't want to cause any awkwardness.
Dermot smiled faintly, pulled her into his arms, and whispered in her ear, "So, does that mean it's okay when there are fewer people?"
Evelyn felt awkward and didn't want to talk to him.
She scanned the surroundings but didn't see Ruby. She had been standing here just a moment ago, but now she was gone.
"Alex took her away," Dermot said.
Evelyn's eyes widened in disbelief. "Where'd they go?"
"Who knows, maybe Alex wants to have a chat with her." Dermot had noticed clearly that when Keith and Sarah were kissing, Alex had been staring at Ruby. It was obvious he had intentions.
At this moment, all Dermot could do was feel sorry for Craig in his heart. There was nothing else he could do.
Dermot's words made Evelyn excited. "Really? Is he finally gonna tell Ruby how he feels?"
If that were the case, today would indeed be a fantastic day.
"You're so into other people's drama, but you don't care about my feelings?" Evelyn wanted to find Ruby, but Dermot held her tightly, not letting her go.
Evelyn noticed Dermot might have had a bit too much and said, "Hey, if you can't handle your booze, maybe you should slow down. If you get wasted, I won't be able to drag you home."
Dermot sighed, "You think I'm drunk already? Come on, I'm not that much of a lightweight."
Evelyn didn't say anything, but her eyes clearly said she thought he was drunk.
Dermot sighed and looked away from Evelyn. "Fine, go have fun. I'll deal with you when we get home."
He really couldn't do much to Evelyn here.
Evelyn looked at him suspiciously, and seeing that he wasn't holding her anymore, she got up and went upstairs, deciding to find Sarah.
Sarah was in the master bedroom, which was decorated similarly to downstairs. There were flowers everywhere, beautiful but with an overwhelming rose scent that was a bit stifling.
