Greg sighed in frustration and said, "Yes, it can only be this way."
"You know, the Hamilton family's headquarters are in Colombia, and I will eventually have to go back there. Once I go back, I won't be able to intervene in Morris City anymore. If Craig continues to target the Kite family, I won't be able to help them," Greg explained.
While he was present, he could prevent any harm to the Kite family. But once he left, the protection for the Kite family would also cease.
Evelyn's heart sank as she understood that Greg had done his best. "I understand," she said.
"To truly resolve the crisis faced by the Kite family, we need to leave Morris City," Greg proposed a solution, acknowledging its inconvenience but seeing no other way.
Evelyn raised an eyebrow, hesitating, "If we leave Morris City, where would we go?"
Although Craig's influence might not be as strong in other cities, the Kite family would still face difficulties surviving elsewhere. It might lead to the same outcome as before.
"Let's go to Colombia," Greg suggested without hesitation. "Though Craig has some connections there, he is still relatively weak. Besides, Colombia is the Hamilton family's territory, and I am confident about that."
Before Evelyn could respond, Greg continued, "Moreover, if the Kite family goes to Colombia, I can provide some assistance. I can't guarantee a perfect situation, but it won't be worse than staying in Morris City."
This was his promise to Evelyn, and it carried significant weight.
Evelyn looked at him and, regardless of his underlying motives, felt grateful at that moment.
Instead of directly agreeing, she said, "I need to discuss this with them."
"Alright, take your time," Greg refused to rush. This was their only chance to break free from the crisis faced by the Kite family, so he wasn't worried about them refusing.
As for why he wanted to help the Kite family, it was partly because of Evelyn. Additionally, in places like Colombia, the major families would shelter various smaller families, and the Hamilton family was no exception. So having one more family like the Kite family wouldn't affect them much.
"Since you're planning to come with me to Colombia in a couple of days, we can help them find an office space and make other arrangements along the way. It would be perfect, wouldn't it?" Greg already looked forward to his trip to Colombia with Evelyn.
Evelyn nodded, finding the idea reasonable. "Alright, I understand."
However, she still needed to discuss this with Ruby and her parents. If they didn't agree, all their efforts would be in vain.
After discussing business matters, Greg smiled mischievously, "After doing you such a big favor, you should treat me to a meal, right?"
Evelyn glanced at him and realized it was only fair: "Okay."
Greg had treated her to meals many times, so it was about time she returned the favor.
Leaving the apartment together, they drove to a restaurant for dinner.
Meanwhile, the Doyle Group was holding a board meeting.
Benjamin's face darkened as Dermot proposed removing him as the chairman. He almost ground his teeth in frustration.
How dare he!
How dare he try to remove his father!
"Now let's vote on removing Benjamin. Those in favor, raise your hand," Dermot coldly announced without even sparing a glance at Benjamin.
Benjamin watched as everyone raised their hands, except for a few whom he had good relations with. His expression became even more grim.
Dermot, however, felt triumphant. His efforts during this period hadn't been in vain; he had successfully deceived Benjamin. Benjamin never imagined that Dermot would contact these people or convene this board meeting.
Well, this man had always been so arrogant!
