Chapter 1281: Where Are You Taking Me
Dwayne didn't give a damn about her reaction and just shrugged. "Alright, if you're paying up, hand it over."
"I don't have that much on me right now. I can give you a chunk of it first. Just give me a few days, and I'll scrape the rest together." Lily had stashed away some cash over the years, but most of it went to her folks.
Suddenly coughing up $200,000? Yeah, right. No way she could swing that.
But she couldn't just go with these guys either, so she had to stall.
Too bad for her, when they heard she didn't have the dough, they grabbed her without a second thought. "No cash? Then you're coming with us."
"Where are you taking me?" Lily squirmed, feeling a knot in her stomach.
"You'll find out soon enough. Trust me, you'll love it," Dwayne said with a creepy grin that made Lily's skin crawl. She just knew going with them was a bad idea.
But these guys were tough and didn't give her a chance to break free.
Lily was no match for a bunch of dudes and could only let them drag her out of the villa.
"My boyfriend's loaded. I can get him to come back and pay you," Lily pleaded.
She didn't want Niall to know about her family's mess. It was embarrassing enough already, and if he found out, it would just make things worse.
But right now, she had no choice but to ask Niall for a loan, which she'd bust her butt to pay back later.
She thought this would make them let her go, but nope, they weren't having it.
"We still think it's better if you come with us." $200,000 wasn't enough for them.
They'd lent money to Lily's parents knowing they'd use her as collateral. From the start, their target was Lily.
Lily was a looker, and selling her would definitely bring in more than $200,000.
They took Lily away, and as soon as she was in the car, they knocked her out. The car sped off, and who knew where they were taking her.
When Niall got back, it was almost 10 PM. He stood at the front door, puzzled by the open door.
"Lily's so careless, leaving the door wide open. Doesn't she worry about burglars?" he muttered, stepping inside.
Niall headed straight upstairs to Lily's room.
But when he opened the door, no Lily. His brow furrowed. "Lily?"
He called out, but got no answer.
Niall searched the whole villa, still no sign of Lily, and started to worry.
He pulled out his phone and dialed Lily's number.
The phone rang from Lily's room upstairs. Niall went up and saw the phone on the bedside table, his temple throbbing.
After a moment, he headed to the surveillance room.
There were no cameras inside the villa, but there were some outside. He needed to see if Lily had left on her own or if something went down.
Soon, he saw a group of people at the door on the footage, and saw Lily being dragged away. Niall's face went pale.
He snapped pics of their faces and sent them to Aidan, then quickly called him, "Aidan, I need you to find these people."
"Why are you looking for these guys? What happened?" Aidan was confused. It was late, and Niall sounded urgent, which made him worry.
