Chapter 704: Tear Her Face Apart

Upon leaving Blake's office, Evelyn did not rush downstairs to find Wade. Instead, she headed to the business department to find the supervisor, Rex Turner, and proposed to distribute her performance for the month equally among all the staff.

"Evelyn, you must be joking, right?" Rex looked at her in disbelief after hearing her out.

Evelyn's performance this month had broken records, and even after splitting the performance among everyone, each person would still receive a sizable commission.

Evelyn smiled and shook her head. "Of course, I'm not joking, Rex. Starting tomorrow, I might not be coming to work anymore. These past days, I have been grateful for your care."

Rex was stunned but quickly realized that it was only natural. "You are too kind. I haven't taken care of you; it's all because of your strong capabilities."

He knew that Evelyn was set to inherit the Kyte Group. As the future president, he couldn't risk upsetting her. However, he also couldn't afford to overly flatter her.

Having collaborated with Evelyn for a while, he had gained some insight into her personality.

It was fine not to flatter her, but if he did so and it annoyed her, it would only make her dislike him.

"Then it's settled. Please inform the others for me. I won't be telling them myself." If she started explaining, it would likely go on forever. Wade was still downstairs, and Evelyn would feel bad making him wait any longer.

Rex nodded. "Okay, leave it to me. Be assured that no matter what unfolds in the future, the entire department will support you."

"Great, I appreciate your commitment," Evelyn sensed his pledge of loyalty and did not reject it. Despite her disconnection from the Kyte Group, having someone in her corner was always advantageous.

After leaving the Kyte Group, she got into Wade's car at the entrance.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," Evelyn said apologetically. "I had some matters to resolve, so it took a bit of time."

"No problem," Wade shook his head, not minding at all.

As the car started, Wade asked Evelyn what she wanted to eat. "Anything is fine. I can't think of anything at the moment."

Hearing this, Wade didn't ask further, and the car fell into silence.

Meanwhile, at Wade's villa, Lucia had painstakingly prepared lunch.

She had no prior experience in cooking. In recent days, Wade had been insisting that she cook daily, and if her dishes didn't meet his standards, she would face his scolding. She felt as if she were in a haze, constantly on the brink of exhaustion.

Looking at the dishes on the table, she couldn't say they were delicious, but at least they were edible.

Considering Wade's demeanor, she simply hoped he wouldn't be too severe today.

Lost in contemplation, her phone suddenly beeped with a text message.

Upon viewing it, her concerned expression transformed into anger as she saw a photo of Evelyn entering Wade's car.

The sender was Terry, her former assistant during her days at the Kyte Group. She had lost contact with him after leaving the company, and she hadn't expected to receive his message now.

However, Lucia was unconcerned about that. Her focus was solely on Evelyn and Wade.

They were currently dining together, but she was at home cooking for Wade, anticipating his return. Despite her repeated thoughts, she felt a surge of anger.

With a sudden movement, she swept her hand, sending the dishes crashing to the floor.

"Bitch!" she cursed under her breath.

She was already engaged to Wade, yet Evelyn was still seducing him.

Unable to contain her anger, she went upstairs to change her clothes and then left the house. Today, she was determined to tear Evelyn's face apart.
