Chapter 1330 Extra: Aidan and Phoebe (5)

After scarfing down the pasta, they all split and headed back to their rooms.

Before hitting her own room, Phoebe swung by next door to check on the baby.

She plopped down by the bed, staring at the little guy who was already out cold. That tiny face was so cute she almost wanted to plant a kiss, but she held back, not wanting to wake him up.

Even though the nanny was on baby duty now, she knew how much he wailed at night, so she didn't want to risk it.

"Sweetie, your daddy's finally acknowledged you." Phoebe had made up her mind to raise the baby solo, but now she kinda hoped Aidan would step up. Maybe deep down, she still wanted the kid to have a dad around.

Phoebe's own dad, besides giving her his last name, hadn't done squat for her. She grew up without any of that fatherly love.

Probably because she missed out on that, she really wanted her kid to have a loving dad in the picture.

She whispered to the baby for a bit, then headed back to her own room to crash.

In Aidan's room, he had just showered and was ready to hit the sack early, but Phoebe's words kept bouncing around in his head.

He had no clue what to name the baby.

Thinking about it, he grabbed his phone and called Evelyn.

On the other end, Evelyn had just crawled into bed with Dermot, and they were about to get busy when Aidan's call came through.

"Hold up!" Evelyn stopped Dermot, quickly snatching her phone. "It's Aidan."

"Ignore it!" Dermot grumbled, clearly annoyed.

"If he's calling this late, it must be important." Evelyn pushed him away, sat up, and answered the call.

Dermot sat there, looking all grumpy. Evelyn gave him a warm smile, reaching out to pinch his cheek to calm him down.

She said, "Aidan, still up?"

"Yeah," Aidan said, cutting to the chase. "Phoebe wants me to name the baby. Got any ideas?"

Evelyn took a deep breath. Seriously? He was asking her for name ideas?

She paused, kinda getting where Aidan was coming from, and said, "Aidan, if she wants you to name the baby, you should do it. I know you can come up with something good."

Naming a baby was a big deal, and Evelyn didn't want to make that call for them.

Plus, it was clear Phoebe wanted Aidan to do it, so what could she really suggest?

"Evelyn."

"Aidan, good night," Evelyn said before hanging up. It wasn't that she was in a rush, but Dermot was being relentless, nibbling at her neck the whole time, making it impossible to concentrate.

Aidan looked at his phone and sighed.

Alright, he'd have to mull it over.

But what name would work?

A few minutes later, Aidan got up and grabbed some books from the shelf. To his surprise, they were "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" and "Thinking, Fast and Slow."

Phoebe probably wouldn't have guessed that because she asked Aidan to name the baby, he stayed up all night, flipping through books before finally picking a name.

The next day, when Phoebe saw the note Aidan handed her and noticed his obvious dark circles, she felt touched.

"Thanks," she said softly.

Aidan waved it off like it was no big deal. "No problem. Just came up with something. See if you like it. If not, no worries."

Phoebe smiled and opened the note.
