Chapter 326 Do You Have Any Objections?

Listening to their conversation and seeing them both choose to ignore him, Greg's mood became complicated.

Was he the only one playing the villain in this relationship?

Well, Dermot's acting skills were pretty impressive. Greg couldn't do as well if he were in his shoes.

Afterwards, the three of them ate dinner, with Dermot occasionally serving food to Evelyn. They whispered to each other, their voices too low for Greg to hear.

Watching them, Greg felt restless throughout the meal. He felt like he shouldn't have come along, why did he subject himself to this torment?

Finally, the meal was over. Greg didn't cling to Evelyn but chose to leave on his own. He wondered if he would still be around in the future.

Once he had walked away, Evelyn asked Dermot beside her, "What does he really want from me?"

She genuinely didn't understand. Having grown up in the countryside, what exactly did Greg want from her?

Dermot didn't understand either, but he felt it wasn't a good thing. "I will keep an eye on him and try to find out his motives."

"Okay, it seems like I should investigate too." Evelyn spoke and shifted her gaze away.

Looking at the person beside her with a hint of playfulness, she asked, "Why did you easily let him anger you? You're not that type of person, right?"

Dermot, Mr. Doyle, always acted rationally and rationally. But Evelyn didn't see that in him just now.

"I just don't want him to get close to you," Dermot said without meeting Evelyn's gaze.

Evelyn didn't think much about it and found Dermot's concern amusing. She said, "Don't worry, I'm really not interested in him."

"Well, I believe you," Dermot nodded, concealing the brief flash of something strange in his eyes that Evelyn failed to notice.

Back in the apartment, as Evelyn was about to open the door, Emily took the lead and opened it first, her face turning dark at the sight of Evelyn and Dermot outside.

"You had another meal together?" Emily managed to keep her anger in check and asked calmly.

Since Emily arrived, Evelyn had never cooked a meal at home. They mostly ate out, occasionally with Dermot, but what bothered Emily the most was that Evelyn never invited her!

How could she accept this?

At the moment, Emily was still unaware of Evelyn and Dermot being together. She thought they were still the same as before and was trying to flirt with Dermot.

"Do you have a problem?" Evelyn glanced at her and showed no patience.

Putting aside whether she had meals with Dermot or not, Emily's lack of dedication at work lately had already irritated Evelyn. If it weren't for Sarah saving face and not firing her, Emily would have been unemployed by now.

Evelyn didn't think it was a long-term solution to support a useless person like this. She turned to Dermot and said, "Get some rest, goodnight."

"Okay, goodnight," Dermot nodded and glanced at Emily before leaving. His eyes were as cold as ice, piercing straight at her.

"Aidan..." Emily wanted to stop Dermot, but he completely ignored her and closed the door, leaving her no chance to speak.

Emily stood awkwardly in place, watching the closed door that Dermot left through, feeling both angry and annoyed.

Turning her gaze, she vented her anger at Evelyn, "You cunning woman, did you say something to Aidan again?"

Evelyn ignored her and walked into the living room, with Emily quickly following.

"What is your relationship with Aidan now?" Emily asked, feeling that something was off with the atmosphere between Evelyn and Dermot these few days.
