Chapter 401 Dermot Has Another Woman

This question came too abruptly, and Greg stood frozen in place, looking at her in disbelief. "What?" he asked.

"You just tell me if there's any hope, alright?" Evelyn thought it would be better to clarify things rather than continue in confusion.

Greg pondered for a moment before speaking. "Would you be willing to be my girlfriend?"

Upon hearing these words, Marina couldn't believe it and quickly interjected, "Eve, you don't..."

"Of course not!" Before Marina could finish her sentence, Evelyn outright rejected the proposal. "What I meant was, if I don't become your girlfriend, is there still a possibility that your grandfather would tell me the truth about Colombia?"

Greg frowned, and from his reaction, Evelyn didn't hold much hope. "Fine, forget I said anything."

"Don't be so sure, I think it's still possible," Greg said.

Considering his grandfather's personality, Greg believed that if Evelyn truly went to ask him directly, Cliff wouldn't be able to hide anything.

"You think it's possible?" Evelyn felt a little happy. Going to Colombia wouldn't have a big impact on her, but she would be able to find out the truth, which was nothing but beneficial.

Greg nodded. "Given my grandfather's personality, it's possible."

Upon hearing this, Evelyn seemed to have made a decision. "Alright, then wait a few days. Once I've made arrangements on my end, I'll go to Colombia with you."

Greg didn't object. They would have a chance to be together in Colombia, which was a good thing for him, and he had no reason to refuse.

After Marina heard their conversation and felt relieved, she thought to herself that she couldn't handle this kind of excitement. "I'll go to the restroom."

She also wanted to inform her parents about the Hamilton family's cooperation, so they could prepare earlier and prevent Greg from changing his mind.

After Marina left, only Evelyn and Greg remained at the table, but the atmosphere between them wasn't awkward.

"I'm really curious about why you and Dermot broke up. Was it because he found another woman?" On that day, he was far away and couldn't hear their conversation clearly, but from afar, it seemed like they had a pretty unpleasant argument.

Evelyn glanced at him, not in a good mood. "Why are you, as a man, so curious?"

"Hehe, just tell me, I promise not to tell anyone," Greg eagerly looked at her, truly filled with curiosity.

Evelyn ignored him; she couldn't possibly reveal the truth.

Seeing her reaction, Greg could only sigh helplessly and unconsciously looked out the window, trying to find a topic to continue their conversation. But the next moment, he froze entirely.

"It seems like my guess was right. Dermot does have another woman, which is why you broke up with him," he said.

Evelyn furrowed her brows, wondering why Greg was still fixated on this question. "No..."

Before she finished her sentence, her gaze followed Greg's and saw the scene outside the window.

It was Dermot's car, and Evelyn could recognize it with just one glance.

She saw Dermot got out of the car but didn't leave immediately. Instead, he courteously opened the passenger door, as if someone was still sitting inside.

At the moment when a pair of slender legs extended from the passenger seat, Evelyn felt her anticipation turn to ashes in an instant.

She had really hoped that there wouldn't be another woman in the passenger seat.

Greg watched Dermot and the other person walking towards their restaurant with great interest and glanced at Evelyn. "You don't look too good," his gaze lingered on her.

Evelyn snapped back to her senses, her expression turning cold. "And you look very happy, I suppose?"

"Of course, Dermot has found someone new, which means you won't reconcile with him. Can I not be happy?" Greg didn't bother denying it; he spoke whatever was on his mind.
