Chapter 1172: I Can Provide You with Some Information
Evelyn wasn't holding her breath before heading out. If someone was really that nice, Howard and the crew wouldn't have taken forever to track down Blake.
She was even ready to throw down if it came to that. No matter what the other side was up to, grabbing them would get some answers.
With that mindset, Evelyn and her squad rolled up to the spot in no time.
It was just a regular small house, nothing special about it.
Evelyn squinted a bit before heading to the front door.
Howard quickly jumped in front of her. "Ms. Kyte, let me go first."
If there was any danger, it was too risky for Evelyn to just barge in.
Evelyn wanted to argue, but before she could, Howard had already pushed the door open and walked in.
She had no choice but to follow right behind him.
The inside looked normal, super clean, like someone was definitely living there.
As they were scoping the place out, a door suddenly swung open. Everyone immediately circled around Evelyn, ready to throw down.
But when they saw it was just a regular woman who opened the door, they all froze, trying to figure out what was going on.
This woman was Debra.
Evelyn stepped out from the group and locked eyes with Debra. Debra then asked, "You Evelyn?"
"Yeah," Evelyn nodded.
Debra stepped aside. "Come in, the person you're looking for is inside."
Evelyn felt a wave of doubt. Could her dad really be here? Was it really this easy to find him?
Seeing her skeptical look, Debra said, "There's no danger here. Chill out."
Evelyn wasn't sure if she was telling the truth, but since they were already here, might as well check it out.
So, Evelyn followed Debra inside.
When she saw her dad lying on the bed, she got worried. Before she could say anything, Howard had already rushed over. "Mr. Kyte? What's wrong with you?"
Blake was out cold. Evelyn looked at Debra, confused, and Debra explained, "He's fine, just knocked out for a bit. He'll wake up soon."
Evelyn sighed in relief and went to check. It was just like the woman said.
"Can you tell me what's going on?" Evelyn asked Debra, still puzzled.
But Evelyn was out of luck. Debra shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't know much. Someone paid me to come here and take care of him. They said someone would come to pick him up today and mentioned your name. That's all I know."
Evelyn started thinking. Who could it be?
She thought of the message. It was probably from whoever sent that message.
But who was it?
Was her dad's disappearance tied to this person? Or did this person save her dad?
Evelyn had a ton of questions, but no one to answer them.
"The person said you should leave Seabrook City as soon as you pick him up," Debra added.
Evelyn nodded and thanked her, "Thanks for looking after him. I hope you forget everything that happened here after we leave."
No matter who hired Debra, Evelyn didn't trust them.
When Howard handed a check to Debra, she was surprised for a second but quickly took it with a smile. "Don't worry; I won't say a word."
Then, Evelyn told Howard to have the others carry Blake out, and they got ready to leave.
As Evelyn turned to go, the woman suddenly called out to her, "By the way, I can give you some info."
