Chapter 337 What Do You Need Me To Do?

Evelyn didn't expect Lauren to act so quickly. It hadn't been long since she gave her the information, yet Lauren was already taking action. It seemed that approaching her was the right decision.

Evelyn didn't care where Lauren got the money to acquire the shares of the Stanley Group. That woman didn't seem ordinary anyway. She probably had planned it all in advance and was just waiting for the right opportunity. By reaching out to her, Evelyn had given her that opportunity.

While thinking about this, her phone rang. When she saw the caller ID, a smile formed on her lips.

"Miss Stanley," Evelyn answered the call and leaned back in her chair with a smile.

"Did you see the news?" Instead of exchanging pleasantries, Lauren asked directly.

Evelyn hummed in response and asked, "What do you need me to do?"

"I need you to help me investigate someone. They're not a board member but a senior executive of the Stanley Group. I want to bring them down, but I don't have a breakthrough," Evelyn provided the information to let Lauren understand that she was particularly skilled in investigating people. Asking for her help was the right choice.

When someone asked her for help, Evelyn never pushed them away. She enjoyed the feeling of being needed.

Velyn was not surprised. "Okay, send me the name."

"Mm-hmm," Lauren nodded, then smiled and said, "Thanks to you, I've completely severed ties with the Stanley family this time. If you don't help me, it won't just be my own life at stake."

Her words held a hint of threat, but Evelyn didn't mind. "Rest assured, Miss Stanley, I believe with your abilities, you can surely take the Stanley family under your control."

Judging from Lauren's recent actions, it was clear that she had ambitious plans. A woman like her was bound to succeed.

There was no choice; after all, her opponent was Oliver.

After hanging up the phone, Evelyn looked at the name sent by the other party and without hesitation, began her investigation.

In this age of the internet, it was impossible for someone to leave no trace online.

Even for old-timers in their seventies or eighties, if they didn't leave a trace, their children would.

As long as there were traces, Evelyn could follow the trail and always find something useful.

Moreover, the person Lauren asked her to investigate this time was a man in his thirties. It could be said that he was young and promising, able to hold a position in the high-level management of the Stanley group at such a young age. It was certain that he had the abilities.

But... he possessed more than just abilities.

Evelyn quickly found clues about the person online. Looking at these flaunting displays of wealth, she knew for sure that something was not right with this man.

Although the salary of a high-level executive at the Stanley Group was not low, it definitely wasn't enough to afford a Rolls-Royce Phantom, let alone a yacht and various luxury bags and watches. If one didn't know better, they would assume he was an heir of some conglomerate.

Evelyn sent all the information she had gathered to Lauren, thinking that she didn't need to worry about the follow-up anymore. Lauren should be able to trace the source of his funds along this line of investigation.

After finishing these tasks, Evelyn checked the time. It was already lunchtime, so she got up and left her office, preparing to go to the cafeteria for lunch.

However, just as she stepped out of the office, she saw Greg walking towards her. She couldn't help but feel speechless.

"Evelyn, haven't had lunch yet? Let me treat you," he smiled, as if he had never been rejected by Evelyn before.

Evelyn really didn't understand why he was so persistent. What was he after?

"Mr. Hamilton, is there something I didn't make clear? Or did I give you the wrong impression?" Evelyn's face turned cold. She didn't want to give him any favorable treatment to avoid misunderstandings.
