Chapter 200 I Will Be Careful
After Dermot dropped off Evelyn and the two children at Barberts Apartment, he did not stay for long. Instead, he left to go to the company.
During the time he was away, there's a lot of business matters at the company. With rumors spreading about his death, many people were up to no good. He took the opportunity to deal with those ill-intentioned individuals.
Not long after Evelyn arrived home, Aidan and Niall knocked on the door. Ethan, who opened the door for them, looked at the two men puzzledly, "Hello, who are you looking for?"
"You..." Niall was startled, took two steps back, and looked up at the door number, "That's right. Evelyn does live here."
"Niall," Evelyn walked to the door, feeling a bit amused and exasperated.
Seeing this, Niall breathed a sigh of relief, "I thought I knocked on the wrong door."
"Come in first," Evelyn stepped aside, pulling Ethan away to let the two men come in.
Aidan's gaze fell on Ethanand asked, "Who is this child?"
Before Evelyn could answer, another child who had just woken up walked out of the room, "Ethan, who is here?"
Both Niall and Aidan were surprised, their curious eyes simultaneously turning to Evelyn, waiting for her to explain.
Evelyn asked Mia to come to her, and the group walked over to the sofa and sat down. Only then did she begin to explain what had happened to Aidan and Niall.
When they heard that both children had lost their parents, the two couldn't help but sympathize, even empathizing with their own experiences.
"So, you brought them here to find adoptive families for them?" Aidan asked.
Evelyn nodded, "I have no experience raising children, so I dare not keep them with me."
She was already so busy and couldn't even take care of herself, let alone two children.
"That's for the best. It wouldn't be quite suitable for them to stay with you," Aidan nodded, thinking that this solution was appropriate.
Evelyn asked the two children to go back to their room and play, then she looked at Aidan and Niall, "Aidan, Niall, how's the situation with the Barns family?"
"The Stanley family hasn't interfered. In no more than three days, the Barns family will announce bankruptcy," Aidan curled his lips, delightful.
Upon hearing this, Evelyn smiled. "That's great," she said.
"Yeah, that Natalie got lucky by marrying into the Stanley family. We can't do anything to her right away," Niall said with frustration. He wanted to get back at Evelyn, but the Stanley family was different from the Barns family. If they wanted to take action, they needed more time to prepare.
However, Evelyn didn't seem to care. She smiled and said, "Don't worry. From what I know about her, that woman won't give up so easily. As long as she dares to make another move, we'll have plenty of opportunities."
"So you think she will make another move?" Aidan frowned, a hint of concern in his eyes.
"I think so," Evelyn nodded. "But don't worry, Aidan. I'll be careful."
Hearing this, Aidan wasn't reassured at all. "Even with the support of the Barns family, she was uncontrollable. Now that it's the Stanley family, it might be even worse."
"Aidan, it's not as simple as you think. The power of the Stanley family is mostly in the hands of Oliver's father, and he's not very fond of Natalie. So it's not that easy for her to leverage the Stanely family." Evelyn analyzed.
On the way back to Moris City, Evelyn had also looked up information about the Stanley family on the plane, so she had a better understanding of them.
Aidan nodded. He didn't dwell on this issue and turned his gaze to Evelyn with a serious expression. "So, what's going on between you and Dermot?"
