Chapter 396 I Want You Dead
Evelyn had no idea where Natalie found the time to keep an eye on her and wasn't she worried about the Stanley family falling into Lauren's hands? She must really have nothing better to do.
Ignoring her, Evelyn took out her keys and opened the door, not intending to pay any attention to this crazy woman.
But Natalie wasn't ready to give up. She followed behind Evelyn and asked, "You and Dermot suddenly broke up because you went to ask him about that woman, right?"
Evelyn didn't say a word, so Natalie assumed it to be true and laughed even more smugly.
"You're really something, why would you ask about these things? It's obvious that you deliberately wanted to upset Dermot. No wonder he broke up with you." Natalie felt victorious, finally winning this time.
Evelyn found her irritating and turned around to look at her. "If you have the time to worry about whether Dermot and I broke up, you should worry about what you'll do after Lauren takes over the Stanley family."
Upon hearing this, Natalie's face immediately turned ugly.
"Even if Lauren takes over the Stanley family, with Oliver's dividends from the Stanley Group, I won't have to worry about food or drink for the rest of my life." She clenched her teeth and said with determination.
Evelyn simply laughed and crossed her arms, looking at her. "So, a worry-free life is your pursuit? Then why bother with all the trouble? Since the time you were still the Lady of the Barns family, haven't you already lived a worry-free life?"
If it weren't for Natalie's scheming against Evelyn, she wouldn't have offended herself and Dermot, and all these things wouldn't have happened afterwards. She would have still been the Lady of the Barns family; wouldn't that be better than now?
This remark hit Natalie too hard.
She glared at Evelyn with hatred, unable to continue her sentence.
She would tear her into pieces before, "Yes, blame me for fooling around. If it weren't for you, that wicked woman, I would have married Dermot long ago. How did it come to this? "
"You know it now." Evelyn nodded with a smile and said, "So, I advise you not to stir things up now, or you might even have trouble with basic necessities later."
"Are you threatening me?" Natalie gritted her teeth, infuriated.
Evelyn shrugged, "So what if I am? You should know that I have a partnership with Lauren. I have some control over the life and death of the Stanley family too."
"Evelyn!" Natalie shouted angrily, preparing to charge forward.
However, Evelyn waved her fist towards her, swinging it twice in the air, immediately halting Natalie's steps, making her afraid to approach.
She knew Evelyn had good skills, and she was no match for her. Charging forward would only lead to more trouble.
Evelyn was quite satisfied with this, "Go away, and don't show up in front of me if you have nothing to do. You bother me just by being there."
She entered through the door, leaving Natalie with a graceful figure.
Natalie stared at the closed door, trembling with anger, "Evelyn! Evelyn! I want you dead!"
She couldn't swallow her anger.
Evelyn didn't care about what she was thinking. To her, Natalie was just a clown jumping around, not worth her time.
After taking a bath and lying in bed, Evelyn finally felt much better.
I wonder what Dermot is doing right now?
Subconsciously thinking of that man, Evelyn suddenly felt alarmed.
She slapped her cheeks and said to herself, "We have already broken up. Dermot and you have no connection anymore, Evelyn, stay clear-headed."
Forcing herself not to think about Dermot, she lay in bed, trying to sleep, but no matter how much she tossed and turned, she couldn't fall asleep.
Just then, her cellphone rang.
Evelyn picked up the phone and was somewhat surprised. It was a call from overseas.
After a moment of confusion, she suddenly woke up and immediately answered, "Aidan, is that you?"
