Chapter 937: You Bastard

Dermot was naturally confident since he had prepped before coming. He'd even given Joshua a heads-up and had Todd gather some backup, just in case. They should be here soon.

After a bit, someone did show up, but it wasn't Dermot's crew or anyone local.

When the police cars rolled in, everyone was shocked, not understanding why the cops were there.

Randy had planned to take out Dermot today and had coordinated with the police station. So, even if there were gunshots or someone called the cops, no police should've shown up.

But suddenly, a bunch of cops arrived, like they knew a shootout was about to happen.

Dermot acted fast, wiping his fingerprints off his gun and tossing it. Joshua saw this, smirked, and did the same without a word.

Joshua also had his guys retreat before the cops came in.

Luckily, Otis's crew didn't react in time, or maybe they just didn't care. In Golombia, they were used to ignoring the law and didn't take the police seriously.

Joshua's people took the chance to escape. Just as Otis was feeling smug about almost killing Dermot, the police had already surrounded him.

Otis frowned, annoyed. "What’s this about? Don’t you know who I am?"

"Drop the gun!" The officer pointed his gun at Otis, ready to shoot if Otis made a move.

Otis was confused. Didn't these guys know who he was? How could they treat him like this?

"I’m from the Doyle family..."

Before he could finish, the villa door opened, and Randy walked out.

Otis thought his grandpa would make these guys apologize, but Randy walked up and slapped him.

Otis was stunned.

"You idiot!" Randy yelled.

"Grandpa Doyle, I..."

"Shut up!" Randy roared, cutting him off, and looked at one of the cops.

He recognized Alex Morris, the new inspector of Golombia. The Doyle family didn't get along with him. Actually, he had issues with all the families in Golombia. He was tough on crime, no matter who was involved.

Randy hadn't expected him to lead the team today. He had informed his superior, but...

Randy explained, "Mr. Morris, today's mess is my grandson's fault. Since his dad died, he's held a grudge against Dermot, seeing him as an enemy, which led to today."

"It's also my fault for not stopping him. I failed in disciplining him," Randy said, sighing.

Otis, listening, was wide-eyed.

How did this become his fault?

He was just following Randy's orders today!

He wanted to explain, but Zachary gave him a look, and Otis knew that saying the wrong thing now would bring trouble to the whole Doyle family.

Alex glanced at Randy, knowing who he was but still coldly said, "We’ll investigate this thoroughly. Randy, we need you to come with us to the station for further questioning."

He planned to take everyone in; no one was getting away.

He had long wanted to deal with these arrogant families in Golombia, and today he finally got the chance.
