Chapter 222 So It Was Him

On the third day of Ruby Kite's disappearance, Evelyn still had no clues.

She had gone to the police station over and over again, and couldn’t remember how many people she had asked for help. But there was no news at all, and Evelyn's heart sank little by little.

In Aidan's villa, Evelyn was in her room alone, checking the surveillance footage. She didn't give up.

Aidan and Niall were standing at the doorway, worried. "Aidan, you should talk to Evelyn. She's like this..."

"It doesn’t work. She won't give up until she finds Ruby Kite." Aidan knew Evelyn's personality very well, so he didn't try to convince her.

"It's weird. How can someone seem to have never existed? If Evelyn wasn’t that certain, I would suspect that there was never such a person." This time, Niall doubted his own skills.

Aidan furrowed his brows all the time. He knew well about Niall and Evelyn's skills, and now he found this situation very strange. It shouldn't be like this.

After some contemplation, he walked into the room and approached Evelyn.

"Evelyn." Aidan spoke.

Upon hearing his words, Evelyn stopped typing on the keyboard. "Aidan, any news?"

Aidan shook his head, and the hope in Evelyn's eyes shattered instantly.

Seeing this, Aidan sat down next to her, looking serious. "Moris City is neither big nor small. Someone can hide Ruby from you. There shouldn't be many suspects."

"You said that Dermot asked Craig for help, but there were no clues. I find it strange," Evelyn raised an eyebrow.

"Why?" Aidan analyzed. "You can say Dermot is not good at finding people, but for Craig, it should be his specialty. There's nothing he can't find in Moris City."

Evelyn pondered, feeling like Aidan said was right. "But he said he hasn't found anything yet, and I didn't want to ask too much since he's helping us."

"Have you ever considered that maybe he knows something?" Aidan made a bold assumption.
Evelyn was stunned by his words, staying silent for a while.

Aidan continued, "We've mobilized so many people and haven't found Ruby Kite. Even your hacking skills haven't found her. Something must be missing here."

"There haven't been any big figures coming to Moris City recently, so it's highly likely that it’s local people who made Ruby Kite disappear. When we carefully investigate, there aren't many options," Aidan's words reminded Evelyn. She started typing on the keyboard again.

But this time, she didn't search for surveillance related to Ruby Kite, but for information about Craig.

She thought, if Craig really found something and hid it, then the suspect must be connected to him. By investigating Craig, she should find some clues.

Thinking of this, Evelyn suddenly felt confident again. She had to find the person as soon as possible.

In fact, the progress was faster than she had expected. After just a few days of checking Craig's activities, she found out Ruby Kite's whereabouts.

She never expected that things would be like this. It turned out that Craig wasn't hiding the suspect. Ruby Kite was actually in his mansion!

At that moment, Evelyn couldn't describe her feeling.

"Craig probably didn't expect you to investigate him, so he didn't tamper with the surveillance," Aidan looked at the surveillance footage of Craig's mansion. Ruby Kite walked into it and hadn't come out since.

Evelyn didn't say anything, but Aidan didn't stop there. "As Dermot's good friend, Craig might be keeping this from Dermot, or maybe Dermot knew something."
