Chapter 65 Your Ex-Wife Has Been Kidnapped

It turned out that her worries were unnecessary.

After the three men pulled her into the car, they ignored Ruby Kite and drove away, disappearing from the scene.

Things happened too fast, and it wasn't until the car vanished that Ruby Kite regained her senses and frantically dialed the emergency number on her phone.

But even though she had called the police, she still felt deeply unsettled.

"No, I can't let anything happen to Evelyn!" With this thought in mind, she dialed the phone number she had saved just yesterday.

What she didn’t know was that there was a black car parked in a corner, and the person inside was using binoculars to observe Ruby Kite.

"Why is there only one? Wasn't it said that two people were coming this way?" the person said.

"Mr. Barns wants that woman named Evelyn. If we lose her, we'll be in trouble," another person replied.

The car quickly disappeared, appearing to search for Evelyn's whereabouts.

The president's office at the Doyle Group.

Dermot rubbed his temples, feeling a sudden sense of foreboding as he listened to Todd's report.
Just then, his phone on the desk rang, and he hastily answered, "What's happened?"

"Huh? How did you know something happened?" Craig sounded confused; he didn't think he had said anything yet.

"Just tell me!" Dermot’s voice filled with concern. He sighed lightly, sensing the intense anger that was being suppressed.

"I just received a message that your ex-wife has been kidnapped," he said.

As soon as the words were spoken, Dermot swiftly stood up from his office chair, "What did you say?"
"I've sent you the location where she was abducted. Whether you want to get involved or not is up to you, but at least I've informed you," he said before hanging up the phone.

If it weren't for that woman calling for help, he wouldn't have bothered to care about Evelyn's well-being.

But now that she had reached out for help, he couldn't just do nothing. So, he kindly made this phone call to Dermot. As for what Dermot would do, it was none of his concern.

Dermot quickly received the message sent by Craig, detailing Evelyn's kidnapping location and the general sequence of events.

Reading the information, he walked out of the office, leaving Todd, who was in the middle of reporting, confused.

What happened again?

"Todd!"

Dermot's roar came from outside the office, and Todd quickly walked out, "Mr. Doyle."

"The address I just sent you, I want you to immediately check all the surrounding surveillance footage," he instructed.

Todd didn't dare to ask what had happened and simply nodded before making the arrangements.

Just as Ruby Kite walked out of the police station, a black figure stopped in front of her, revealing Dermot's face within her line of sight.

"Mr... Dermot," she was surprised.

"Get in the car and tell me everything in detail," he said.

Still in a daze, Ruby Kite felt the unfriendly gaze of Dermot and didn't dare to linger. She immediately got into the car.

If Dermot helped, they should be able to find Evelyn quickly.

In the car, Ruby Kite told Dermot about her day and Evelyn's itinerary. Finally, she asked, "Mr. Doyle, can you find Evelyn?"

"I will find her."

The car stopped, and Ruby Kite got out. The car quickly sped away and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile, in the van, Evelyn's eyes were blindfolded.

"This woman is quite pretty. This job is really worth it. We can get money and sleep with a beauty," one of them said.

"Don't be careless. The police might already be tracking us," another one warned.

"Why worry? After we finish this job, we'll leave the country. The money our client gives us will be enough to enjoy ourselves abroad," the last person said.
