Chapter 213 Do You Think Grandpa Is Lying?
Dermot didn't expect Evelyn to suddenly ask this question. He did find it strange, but because it was his grandfather saying it, he didn't question it and always believed that his grandfather wouldn't harm him.
Now that Evelyn asked, he had to take it seriously, "Perhaps he is right. After all, I also feel that we are a good match now."
Evelyn, "..."
"Can you take it serious?" Evelyn glared at him, not amused.
"Okay," Dermot nodded, no longer joking, "Why did you feel strange?"
"I’m not quite sure, but I just think it's strange how he insists on this. There are so many socialites and heiresses in Morris City. Isn't it a bit exaggerated to say that we are the most suitable?" She just found Grandpa Doyle's words somewhat unreal.
Dermot didn't argue. He had the same doubt before, "So, do you think Grandpa is lying?"
"I didn't mean that."
Evelyn explained, "I was just curious about the reason."
"It's okay. I never really understood it either," Dermot chuckled and then said, "but after meeting you, I started to think that maybe my grandfather was right."
Evelyn pondered for a moment, then sighed helplessly, "Perhaps. After all, nobody knows what my grandfather is thinking."
The two of them did not continue discussing this topic, nor could they come to a conclusion, unless they asked Grandpa Doyle themselves. Obviously, Grandpa Doyle wouldn't easily tell them.
After finishing their meal, Evelyn and Dermot went to Doyle Mansion together. After having dinner with Grandpa Doyle at Doyle Mansion, she returned to Barberts Apartment.
On Sunday, Niall's company officially opened, and he held an opening party at a hotel. Evelyn dressed in her gown early, preparing to go there to help.
To her surprise, as soon as she arrived downstairs in the neighborhood, she saw Dermot's car parked on the side of the road, seemingly waiting there for a while.
"Why are you here?" Evelyn walked over and asked.
"Waiting for you," Dermot said, opening the car door for her, "Niall is hosting the opening party, and he invited me too."
"Niall invited you?" Evelyn couldn't believe it. When did their relationship improve?
Dermot nodded with a smile, not saying much. "I don't have any grudges with him, and we are all in business now. Isn't it normal for him to invite me?"
Although he said that, Evelyn felt that Niall wasn't as open-minded as he appeared.
"Get in the car. Don't be late," Dermot said to her.
Evelyn didn't refuse either. She got into Dermot's car and they drove to the hotel together.
There were quite a few people at the party.
Although everyone wasn't familiar with Niall, they were familiar with Aidan. Knowing that he was Aidan's brother, they should at least give him some face and attend.
Originally, no one paid much attention, but when Dermot appeared, everyone was stunned.
Niall and Dermot know each other?
However, everyone quickly understood.
Because Evelyn got off the car as well, and seeing her, the crowd understood a little more.
The sibling relationship between Evelyn and Aidan Niall was known by many people in Moris City. Dermot was pursuing Evelyn, and if they were really together, he would have to call Niall "brother" too. Looking at it this way, it wasn't strange for him to attend.
Now, there were even more people trying to please Niall, as if he had become another rising star in Moris City.
"Aidan, Niall." Evelyn greeted as she approached.
Both of them responded, and when they saw Dermot beside Evelyn, their reactions were varied, especially Aidan. His face changed slightly, but in the end, he said nothing.
