Chapter 802 Who Is a Good Person in The Doyle Family?

After dinner, Dermot didn't stay at the Doyle Manor. Ever since he started managing one of the subsidiaries, he found an excuse to move out. After all, it was uncomfortable to live under constant scrutiny.

Gerald was furious about his cocky demeanor. "James, are you just going to let him act so cockily?"

Being called out by Gerald, James finally looked up. "What do you want to do about it?"

"The fight between you and me is an internal matter of the Doyle family. An outsider should not interfere, should he?" Gerald asked.

James nodded. "You're right."

"In that case, we should deal with him first." If Dermot hadn't been so outstanding and caught Randy's attention, he wouldn't have thought about getting rid of him.

After all, Randy would likely be unhappy as he found out.

But given the current situation, if he didn't deal with Dermot, no one knew what might happen.

So, he decided to team up with James. If Randy found out, they would both be involved, and neither would be worse off than the other.

James didn't oppose the suggestion but smiled and said, "Let's go with your plan. I can't stand his cockiness either."

Although he pretended to be indifferent, it was impossible for him not to covet the inheritance of the Doyle family.

As Gerald said, the Doyle family's internal matters should be resolved internally. An outsider like Dermot shouldn't interfere.

Now, not only was he interfering, but he was doing so excessively, which was very displeasing.

After they reached an agreement, Gerald left with Otis. The Doyle Manor was large, with separate villas for each of them, providing some privacy.

After they left, Jeffery couldn't help but ask, "Dad, are you really going to team up with Uncle Gerald? He's not a good person."

"Who in the Doyle family is a good person?" James retorted.

Jeffery pouted and said unhappily, "I just think you shouldn't team up with him. You'd be better off teaming up with Dermot."

"Jeffery, I've never asked you that why do you think Dermot is better than Gerald? Do you think he is a better person?" James couldn't understand where Jeffery got that idea from; he certainly didn't see it.

Jeffery was stunned. As he thought back, it seemed to be at a banquet when he heard Evelyn say something that made sense to him, and since then, he had been subtly helping Dermot.

At the thought of it, he felt a bit scared and couldn't help but think, 'Does her words have that much influence? Why should I listen to her?'

However, James was not angry about that. Before Jeffery could answer, he said, "Neither Gerald nor Dermot are good people. If either of them takes over the Doyle family, it would be devastating for us. So, what we need to do is take over the Doyle family ourselves and control our own destiny."

Leaving his fate in someone else's hands was not his style.

"I know. I just feel like we don't stand much of a chance," Jeffery said, lowering his head. Although it was a bit disheartening, it was the truth.

In terms of power within the Doyle family, they didn't have as much as Gerald. In terms of ability, they couldn't match Dermot. Given the circumstances, it was hard for him to believe they could achieve final victory.

Upon seeing him like this, James sighed. "Let them fight each other first. When they're both worn out, we'll take control. Don't you understand it?"

Jeffery was momentarily stunned but quickly understood his father's meaning. He looked up at James and said, "I understand."
