Chapter 372 Are You Even Worthy?

Investment?

After a brief moment of confusion, Marina understood.

Despite everything, she was grateful to Evelyn. "It's already a great help for you to invest in the Peterson family at this time. You are a good person."

At this time, everyone was avoiding the Peterson family. Who would invest money? People weren't fools.

But Evelyn was willing, and in Marina's eyes, it seemed like she really wanted to help herself.

"Take a rest, don't think too much. The matter has already been resolved, right?"

Evelyn pointed her to the bathroom and the bedroom, urging her to rest early. She herself was going back to her room to sleep, as she had been awoken and was quite tired.

The next morning, Evelyn got up and walked out of her bedroom, smelling a delicious aroma coming from the kitchen.

She was surprised. Who could it be at this hour, making breakfast for her? Only Dermot?

Has he come? With that thought in mind, she walked towards the kitchen.

To her surprise, the person busy in the kitchen wasn't Dermot, but Marina.

"Eve, you're awake? Breakfast is ready just in time," Marina said, turning off the stove and bringing out the cooked steak and eggs.

Looking at the sumptuous breakfast, Evelyn couldn't quite react. "You can cook too?"

"Yes, I can," Marina nodded, not thinking it was anything strange.

Evelyn felt a little frustrated. How come it seemed like everyone in this world knew how to cook except for her?

Grandfather, why didn't you think of hiring a chef to teach me how to cook?

Just as she sat down, ready to start eating, the doorbell rang. Marina quickly got up. "I'll get it."

As the door opened, Dermot's tall figure appeared in her line of sight. Marina instantly froze. "...Mr. Doyle?"

Why would Dermot be at Evelyn's door? They were divorced, weren't they?

Could it be that they were still connected after the divorce?

Seeing Marina as the one who opened the door, Dermot couldn't help but frown. "What are you doing here?"

Just as Marina was about to explain, Evelyn also stood up and said, "I needed to talk to Marina about something, so I asked her to come over."

"You..." Evelyn glanced at him and smiled. "Are you here to make breakfast for me?"

"Yeah." Dermot didn't question further about why Evelyn needed Marina, and he walked into the living room. Only then did he realize that there were two breakfasts already set on the dining table.

He turned to look at the two of them, and Evelyn chuckled helplessly. "Marina already made me breakfast."

As soon as these words were spoken, Marina immediately felt that Dermot's gaze on her was different. It might be her imagination, but she felt a hint of hostility.

"Eve, you and Mr. Doyle go ahead and eat. I'll make another portion." She immediately decided to give her own portion to Dermot and hurriedly walked into the kitchen.

Dermot was satisfied with this and walked over without hesitation, sitting down and picking up his utensils to start eating. "Come and eat, stop standing there."

Evelyn responded and walked over to sit opposite Dermot. "You really have no manners."
