Chapter 1033: Don't Go Too Far

Dermot straightened up and grinned. "So, you need my help now?"

The tables had turned, and Dermot found Randy's tone irritating.

"Yes," Randy admitted through gritted teeth.

Seeing Dermot's smugness, Jeffery, standing nearby, couldn't stay quiet. "Dermot, you've always wanted to take over the Doyle family. Now that my grandfather's ready to hand it over, you're acting all high and mighty. Do you really think we're scared of you?"

"Jeffery!" Randy snapped, glaring at him.

Dermot stayed calm and looked at Jeffery. "Why should I be grateful? If you had other options, you wouldn't be here, right?"

Silence fell over the room.

"So, I'm here to solve your problems and keep the Doyle family from disappearing in Golombia. Shouldn't you be grateful?" Dermot asked with a smile.

Jeffery was fuming. As a Doyle, he had never been treated like this. But James held him back, stopping him from saying more.

When Gerald was alive, Jeffery saw him as a rival for the heir position. Then Dermot came along, and Jeffery and Gerald even plotted together against him.

Back then, he was ambitious.

But after Gerald's death and James took over, Jeffery realized how naive he had been.

He had no talent for business. He couldn't match Dermot, and he wasn't even as good as the late Gerald.

He was exhausted. Even with Randy handling things, he still felt tired.

When Randy suggested handing the Doyle family to Dermot, Jeffery wasn't angry; he felt relieved.

He thought, 'Maybe I'm just not cut out for running a family business.'

Randy waved his hand, signaling Jeffery to stop talking, and looked at Dermot. "So, what's your answer?"

"I agree, but I have conditions," Dermot said.

Randy wasn't surprised. "Go ahead."

"After I take over, you must step back and let me have full control. Even you can't make decisions for the Doyle family." He wanted complete authority, not to be sidelined after fixing the problems.

"Dermot, don't push it!" Jeffery couldn't hold back. This was essentially kicking them out of the Doyle family. They might as well let it go bankrupt.

But Randy didn't see it that way.

He sighed and closed his eyes. "Fine, but you must protect the Doyle descendants."

"Don't worry. Your descendants will live in luxury. With the shares you hold in the Doyle Group, the annual dividends alone will be more than enough for them to live extravagantly."

The Doyle family was prominent. Even if they spent recklessly, the dividends from their shares would ensure they'd never run out of money. But the Doyle family would no longer be theirs.

From now on, the Doyle family was under Dermot's control.

Leaving Doyle Manor, Dermot looked up at the sky and smiled. With the New Year approaching, he had received quite a nice gift.

But he was even more excited about a gift from Evelyn. He wondered if she would prepare one for him.
