Chapter 1175: It's Better Not to Be Too Conspicuous
"What are you doing in there?" Nathaniel Flores's voice boomed from above. Bella's heart did a little flip, but she kept her cool.
She shot him a look. "What do you think people do in bathrooms?"
Nathaniel squinted, looking all suspicious, like he could see right through her and spill all her secrets.
But Bella wasn't that naive girl anymore. She was in her forties now, not some clueless kid.
"Need something?" Bella dodged his gaze and walked around him.
Nathaniel stared but didn't push it. "There's a party tonight. You're coming with me."
Bella wasn't shocked. Nathaniel was always like this. "Another party? You've got plenty of women around. Why drag me along? Aren't you worried I'll cause trouble?"
"Bella, you are my wife!" Nathaniel was ticked off. He couldn't stand Bella's whatever attitude, like she didn't care how many side chicks he had.
Bella sneered, leaning against the wall, giving him a cold look. "Wife? Seriously?"
"Are you going or not?" Nathaniel said, ice-cold.
Bella pouted but finally agreed. She needed to keep an eye on Nathaniel to stop him from going after Blake again.
After leaving the bedroom, Nathaniel headed to his study.
"Mr. Flores." Nathaniel's assistant, Gregory Collins, saw him and quickly bowed his head.
Nathaniel plopped down in a chair. "Is Blake dead?"
Gregory's face went white. "I'm sorry, Mr. Flores. Blake's gone missing, and we haven't found him yet."
"Haven't found him yet? Damn it!" Nathaniel snapped, clearly pissed. He seriously doubted his team's skills if they couldn't even keep tabs on Blake.
Gregory didn't dare say a word. Then his phone rang, and he broke into a cold sweat.
Seeing him just standing there, Nathaniel glared. "Answer it. What are you waiting for?"
"Oh, okay." Gregory quickly picked up the phone.
Soon, his face lit up. "Mr. Flores, Blake has shown up."
"Good. So, you know what to do, right?" Nathaniel looked at him. If they couldn't kill Blake this time, these guys were probably useless.
Gregory nodded like crazy.
Nathaniel sat back, his eyes drifting to the room next door, lost in thought.
At Blake's villa, Howard was worried. "Ms. Kyte, Mr. Kyte just got back. There might be another hit if they've found him."
He thought they should hide Blake to avoid detection.
"Howard, we're here to find my mom, we need clues. If those people don't come, how will we find the clues?" Evelyn was chill. "Isn't there a charity gala tonight in Seabrook City?"
"Yeah, I think there is," Howard replied.
Evelyn stood up and smiled at Howard. "Have my dad get ready. We're going to the gala tonight."
"What?" Howard was totally stunned. "Ms. Kyte, we shouldn't be too flashy right now."
Blake was already a target. If they went to the gala, even more eyes would be on them.
Plus, he didn't think Blake would be in the mood for a charity gala right now.
