Evelyn looked at Emerald, who was now so weak she could barely stand.
"Let's get Emerald to the hospital room first," Evelyn said.
Emerald's health was already poor. If something really happened, even though it wasn't her fault, Evelyn would still feel guilty.
At this moment, Joshua and the rescue team also arrived.
Upon seeing Evelyn and Dermot, Joshua didn't ask much but helped get Emerald to the hospital room. Afterward, he had the doctor check Evelyn to make sure she was okay before he felt relieved.
"You scared me to death," Joshua complained softly.

However, he didn't feel like Dermot had stolen his chance to be the hero. Instead, he was grateful for Dermot's timely appearance. If Evelyn hadn't been able to hold on until he arrived, he didn't dare to think about the consequences.
Evelyn gave him a smile. She felt a bit embarrassed, then said, "Sorry for worrying you. I didn't think much at the time."
