Chapter 244 Do I Have a Portion?

Evelyn was speechless. This man didn't take care of his own body, but now he was lecturing her? It was ridiculous.

She couldn't be bothered with Dermot, so she glared at him and stood up from her chair. "I'm going back. If you want to stay here, then stay."

"I'll go with you." He came to find Evelyn in the first place, so if she was leaving, what was the point of him staying here?

the two walked out of the hospital together. Just as Evelyn was about to hail a taxi, Dermot pulled up in his car. "It's not safe to take a taxi so late. I'll drive you."

"Okay, thank you." She didn't refuse because she knew that even if she did, it would be pointless. It would only waste time arguing with Dermot here.

She was tired and just wanted to go home.
Family, go to sleep.

In the car, Evelyn squinted her eyes and seemed to fall asleep again.

Dermot drove the car, catching a glimpse of her exhausted appearance and couldn't help but feel a little heartbroken.

Before long, the car stopped at the entrance of the apartment. Dermot was hesitating whether to wake up Evelyn, but she had opened her eyes.

"You didn't sleep?" Dermot was very surprised.

"Hmm." She said as she got out of the car.

Dermot hurriedly followed, and Evelyn looked back at him and asked, "Why are you following me?"

"I haven't eaten yet." After finishing the work at the Doyle Group, he came to find Evelyn, but little did he know that she had fallen asleep when he arrived, so he could only wait for her in the office.

"Oh." Evelyn's expressionless face showed that she didn't care.

Helpless, Dermot said, "Can't I go to your place and cook a bowl of instant noodles? Are you that stingy?"

Evelyn stared at him without saying a word.

Eating instant noodles was a lie, and Evelyn knew it. In the past, she would never agree, but now... she didn't have the energy to argue with this man.

"Whatever, just don't expect me to cook for you." She didn't even cook for at home, let alone cooking for someone else.

Seeing that she didn't refuse, Dermot was in a good mood. "Don't worry, I can handle it myself."

After saying that, the two walked into the elevator together.

When they arrived at the door of Evelyn's apartment, there was a filled shopping bag placed there. Dermot picked it up and said to her, "I guess you don't have any vegetables at home, so I bought some for you."

Evelyn stayed silent.

She opened the door and lay on the sofa, feeling much more comfortable. "You can cook whatever you want, I'll rest."

Dermot didn't mind, carrying the bag of groceries and headed towards the kitchen, busy on his own.

Evelyn wasn't woken up by Dermot, she woke up by when she smelled the aroma coming from the kitchen.

Following the scent, she walked to the kitchen and saw Dermot stir-frying vegetables, with his freshly cooked spicy spare ribs next to it.

"Didn't you say we were going to eat instant noodles?" she asked, looking at Dermot with obvious suspicion.

Dermot hesitated while stir-frying, said, "These are side dishes."

"You have side dishes when eating instant noodles at home?" She was speechless. Isn't the whole point of instant noodles that they're quick and convenient?

She didn't continue to question, she knew in her heart what was going on, she just didn't want to fully accept it.

"Do I have a portion?" Evelyn weakly asked, feeling guilty.
