Chapter 796 I Have Nothing to Do with Him

Blake turned to look at Evelyn and, seeing no reaction from her, nodded and said, "Alright then, Ms. Martin and Mr. Doyle, take care. I won't walk you to the door."

"No need to trouble yourself, Mr. Kyte. Take good care of your health," Margaret said with a smile and then started to pull Dermot away.

However, Dermot didn't lose his composure. After nodding to Blake, he followed Margaret out.

After they left, Blake looked at Evelyn with some concern, "What's going on between you and Dermot?"

"There's nothing between us, so you don't need to worry," Evelyn replied. Perhaps because she had been through too much, she was no longer so fixated on matters of the heart.

If she could meet someone she liked who also liked her, that would be great. But if not, that was perfectly fine and just part of life.

Hearing her words, Blake didn't press further and just smiled, "Alright, I won't worry."

Outside the ward, Dermot and Margaret had just walked out when they ran into Joshua. Upon seeing them, he was surprised, then said, "Mr. Doyle, Ms. Martin."

"Mr. Garcia." Margaret clearly kept a close eye on Evelyn and had investigated everyone around her.

However, she was quite interested in Joshua. Although there was nothing problematic in his records, his years abroad were somewhat mysterious.

Dermot didn't greet Joshua. For someone he considered as a rival, he naturally had no friendly expression.

"Are you here to visit Mr. Kyte?" Joshua didn't care about Dermot's attitude. In fact, he found it quite good, as it showed Dermot felt he had no chance.

Margaret nodded, "Yes, we wanted to come earlier, but as you know, Dermot just recovered, so we delayed until now."

"Oh, really? I didn't know it well," Joshua said. Many people knew about Dermot's surgery, and Joshua was not an exception, but he didn't admit it. After all, he wasn't close to Dermot, so he wouldn't pay attention to his situation.

Margaret gave a dry laugh, also noticing the tension between Dermot and Joshua, so she said, "Well, Mr. Garcia, you should go in. I'm sure Mr. Kyte and Dr. Kyte are waiting for you."

"Alright," Joshua nodded, "I'm here to take them home, so I won't chat with you any longer."

With that, Joshua walked towards the hospital room. Dermot watched him talk to Evelyn as if he belonged there, feeling very jealous.

If it weren't for his amnesia, he should be the one standing next to Evelyn now.

As for the Doyle family, if he had Evelyn, he wouldn't care about it at all.

But they couldn't repeat the past. Now, he had to focus on taking control of the Doyle family. As for Evelyn, he still had no idea about what to do.

Margaret didn't know what he was thinking but could see the jealousy in his eyes, saying, "Let's go. We need to handle the discharge paperwork."

Dermot nodded and followed Margaret away.

Joshua brought Evelyn and Blake back to the Kyte family. Blake specifically invited Joshua to stay for dinner. Compared to Dermot, he was much more satisfied with Joshua.

Although Joshua didn't have a great family background and his prospects couldn't compare to Dermot, who might take over the Doyle family, Blake didn't care about that. As long as Evelyn liked him, he had no objections.

However, upon seeing Evelyn's apparent indifference, he couldn't help but worry.

He thought, 'Could it be that after her experience with Dermot, Evelyn had lost faith in love? If that was the case, Dermot is truly a terrible person for hurting Evelyn so badly.'
