Chapter 94 You Meddle Too Much
Dermot couldn't decide whether he was lucky or unlucky as he hesitated on whether
"Do not invite Evelyn, but he didn't meet Evelyn."
There was a terrible sense of disappointment as he stepped into the elevator.
Just as the elevator door closed halfway, a hand reached out to stop it. "Wait."
"Miss..."
Before Dermot could finish saying a word, he saw the appearance of the person, not Evelyn, but a formally dressed lady.
"Mr. Doyle, do you also live here?" The other person knew Dermot, which was why they were so surprised at the moment.
This was Mr. Doyle. How could he be living in the Barberts Apartment?
Dermot, on the other hand, had no impression of the other person and asked, "Hmm, who are you?"
"I am from the brand dr. You had brought Ms. Ackers to us before to order a dress," the other person replied.
Dermot nodded without saying anything further.
He remained silent, and naturally, the other person didn't dare to speak either.
Soon, the elevator stopped, and the two of them stepped out at the same time.
Dermot frowned, "You live here too?"
"No, no, I came here to deliver dresses to a client," the other person replied.
Delivering dresses?
Dermot had a bad feeling about this. So far, he had only encountered Evelyn on this floor. "Who are you delivering them to?"
"Well..." the other person hesitated, not daring to casually reveal the client's privacy.
"Can't say?" Dermot's tone changed, although there was no threat in his words, the aura emanating from him made it impossible for anyone to refuse.
"It's for someone named Ms. Kyte," the other person answered, as she couldn't afford to offend Dermot.
Now, Dermot was certain that the dress was ordered by Evelyn.
But why did she order a dress?
Could it be that Grandfather who invite her?
But if that's the case, why did Grandfather still ask me to invite her? Isn't that redundant?
As they spoke, the two of them had already reached Evelyn's door. Dermot sidestepped, not wanting Evelyn to see him.
The person knocked on the door, and soon Evelyn came out, looking a bit puzzled. "Who are you?"
"Ms. Kyte, this is the dress Mr. Kartland ordered for you," the other person said.
"Keith?"
The other person nodded.
Evelyn furrowed her brows momentarily, but quickly understood Keith's intention. She had previously agreed to accompany him to a banquet, so this was the dress for her to wear then.
She just didn't expect Keith to be so thoughtful, considering every detail.
She reached out and took the dress, expressing her gratitude.
The other person quickly left, and Evelyn was about to close the door when she looked up and was startled by the sudden appearance of Dermot.
"Dermot? When did you arrive?" How did she not see anyone coming earlier?
Dermot didn't answer that question, but asked with a cold face, "Why did Keith send you a dress?"
"Mr. Doyle, don't you think you're meddling too much?" Evelyn was speechless and raised her hand to close the door.
Of course, Dermot did not give her this opportunity. "You are my ex-wife, who says I can't control you?"
Evelyn: "???"
"You are with him?" Dermot's face looked terrible and his tone was cold.
"Mr. Doyle, do you know the meaning of ex-wife?" Evelyn looked at him, trying not to get angry. "It means that from the moment we divorced, I have no relationship with you whatsoever."
"I don't need Mr. Doyle to control who I am with, do I?"
Evelyn truly did not expect Dermot to be so shameless. Wasn't her previous statement clear enough? Why is Dermot still appearing in front of her?
"You can be with anyone, just not him!" he said.
