Was Blake on the hunt for Bella?
Why the heck was he looking for Bella? Shouldn't he have moved on by now?
Timothy and Constance had a ton of questions swirling in their heads, but they kept their mouths shut. Instead, they just shot back coldly, "You think we took your dad?"
"Who else but the Calderon family? So yeah, I'm here for some answers," Evelyn said, her eyes locked on them, watching every twitch. They looked genuinely surprised when she mentioned her dad was looking for Bella, which threw her off. Did they really not know?
If they were clueless, then who else could've gone after her dad?
"That's absurd!" Timothy sneered, looking ticked off. "Who does Blake think he is, that we'd waste our time on him? And who do you think you are? We don't owe you any explanations."
Evelyn's face darkened. The Calderon family was known for their arrogance, and now she was seeing it firsthand.
"Mr. Calderon, my dad and I just run a small Kyte family business. We're no match for the Calderon family," Evelyn said with a smirk.
In reality, the Calderon family's current status was still no match for the Kyte family.
But this was their turf, and no matter how powerful the Kyte family was, they couldn't outdo the Calderon family in Seabrook City.
Timothy caught the shade in Evelyn's words and scoffed, "Even if the Kyte family is one of the top ten in Golombia, we've never been scared."
"Really not scared?" Evelyn stared him down. "What if I team up with the Doyle family? Would Mr. Calderon still be so fearless?"
Timothy didn't live in Golombia, but he knew a bit about its power plays. The Doyle family had a new head, rumored to be a young guy. Could he be tied to Evelyn?
Evelyn smiled, a hint of pride in her eyes. "Dermot, the head of the Doyle family, is my boyfriend. If I ask him to help me take on the Calderon family, I doubt he'd say no."
Timothy's face shifted a bit. If it was just the Kyte family, he wouldn't sweat it, but the Doyle family...
"And if that's not enough, how about Wade from the Allen family? He's a good friend of mine and would be happy to do me a favor," Evelyn added.
She didn't think the current Calderon family could handle three major families at once, and it was clear Timothy got the message.
After his face went through a few more changes, he looked a bit defeated. "What do you want?"
"I just want to know where my dad is," Evelyn's tone turned steely. If she had been somewhat negotiable before, she was now all business.
Timothy frowned but kept his cool. "I don't know. Bella left the Calderon family decades ago. Even if Blake is looking for her, it doesn't make sense for him to come here."
"Left the Calderon family?" Evelyn echoed, her brow furrowing. This was news to her.
"Yeah," Timothy replied casually. "We brought her back, but she wouldn't play ball, so she left."
Evelyn was skeptical. If the Calderon family had gone through the trouble of bringing Bella back, how could they have let her leave so easily?
But right now, she was more worried about her dad. "Are you sure my dad's disappearance has nothing to do with you?"
