Chapter 168 He Is Just My Enemy
"Why do you have to mention him?"
After a while, Dermot said calmly. Although he tried his best to restrain himself, his clenched fists exposed his anger.
Grandpa Doyle glanced at him and sighed again, "Look at you, I just..."
"So, even after so long, you still can't control yourself when it comes to him. How will you face him if you meet him again?"
"You worry too much. In my heart, he is just my enemy." When facing an enemy, he only has one way of dealing with them.
Enemy?
Grandpa Doyle didn't know what came to his mind, shook his head, and stopped talking. "Alright, go and handle the Barns family matter as soon as possible."
"Okay, take care of yourself, Grandpa." Dermot turned and walked out of the study.
When Dermot finished his conversation with Grandpa Doyle and returned to Doyle Manor, Evelyn had just arrived at Barbert's Apartment.
As she stepped out of the elevator, she looked up and saw someone standing by her door.
She frowned and approached.
"Ms. Kyte," Natalie spoke, with a smile on her face, looking exuberant.
After all, she was about to marry Dermot. Naturally, she would be very proud. Even if the Barns family went bankrupt, it wouldn't affect her in any way.
Thinking about this, Evelyn felt worse. She wanted to deal with the Barns family to deal with Natalie, but now...
Evelyn glanced at her and her expression turned indifferent. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to come and chat with you." Natalie smiled and walked up to Evelyn.
"I don't think there's anything to chat about between us." Evelyn refused, walking to the door, not willing to waste time with Natalie.
However, Natalie didn't plan to give up. She followed behind Evelyn, "You are Dermot's ex-wife, and I am about to become his next wife. How can there be nothing to chat about? I think there are still some things we can discuss."
Clearly, because of Dermot, Evelyn felt speechless.
"You said I am his ex-wife. Since I am his ex-wife, it means we no longer have any connection." If it was about the Barns family, she felt she could still talk with Natalie, but when it came to Dermot...
There was nothing to tell.
Evelyn opened the door, and Natalie followed her inside. "Have you seen the news online?"
"Last night, Dermot and I became legally married, so we will probably have the wedding soon. I suppose Ms. Kyte would offer your blessings?"
Evelyn poured herself a glass of water, sat on the sofa, and had no reaction to Natalie's words. "Oh, of course, I will."
"However, do you think that marrying Dermot means everything will be perfect? The account between us is not so easily settled."
Although Nathan had admitted to being the one behind framing Evelyn as the murderer, they all knew that Natalie orchestrated this murder.
Of course, she would hold Natalie accountable for this.
Natalie understood her meaning , but she wasn't worried, "After I marry Dermot, do you think you can still be my rival?"
"So, you admit it?" Evelyn looked at her.
"Admit what?" Natalie pretended to be innocent.
Evelyn shook her head and chuckled, "You’d better pray that you can marry Dermot. Otherwise, once the Barns family goes bankrupt, you will lose all your support. You should know what will happen."
Finally, Natalie's face turned pale.
"As long as you don't try to remarry Dermot, I will be able to marry him!" she said through gritted teeth.
Evelyn smirked, raising an eyebrow, "So, if I am willing to remarry Dermot, then you won't be able to marry him, huh?"
"You..."
"Well, you've inspired me. I will consider it carefully," she laughed, chilling Natalie’s blood.
