Chapter 63 Dermot, Are You Okay?

At the JK Bar, Craig pushed open the private room door and furrowed the moment he saw Dermot. "It's daytime. Instead of going to the company, you're here drinking? Dermot, are you okay?"

As he spoke, he sat down across from Dermot, showing some worry.

Curiosity arose within Craig once again.

"I'm fine," Dermot replied, but he quickly downed another glass of wine.

This is fine?

Craig didn't believe him from the bottom of his heart.

After a moment of reflection, he asked, "It seems like this is because of Evelyn. Why? Haven't you met her?"

"I did, but she said she didn't want to see me." Dermot's words carried a hint of bitterness.

Craig was surprised but then thought it was normal. "It's understandable that she holds some resentment towards you, considering you've been married for two years and haven't even bothered to see her."

"But I never expected her to... Oh!" Dermot sighed.

It was impossible for him to not have any regrets. If he had interacted with Evelyn earlier, they might not have divorced in the first place.

Craig walked over and patted his shoulder, comforting him. "Why are you upset about her attitude? Do you actually have feelings for her?"

Dermot fell silent.

Craig continued, "You've just been without a woman for too long, so you're attracted to Evelyn. But she's not worth your time. Believe me."

"I know a few good heiresses. Would you like me to introduce you to them?"

He genuinely thought Evelyn was average, at most a bit mysterious. When it came to femininity, she was lacking quite a bit.

Dermot glared at him in response. "Get out!"

"Come on. I'm serious. Give it a try. Maybe you'll find someone you like more." Rarely did he see Dermot troubled by love, so he found it quite interesting.

Dermot stared at him for a moment, a slight raise of his eyebrow. "You seem to be in a good mood. Did something good happen?"

"It's not exactly a good thing, just met an interesting person." He smirked, thinking of Marina.

Dermot didn't bother with him, knowing he never took anything seriously.

"By the way, you told me yesterday to cause some trouble for the Kartland family. Are you serious?" Craig brought up the main topic.

Dermot nodded. Only after he finished another glass of wine did he say, "Keep him busy, so he has no time for anything else."

Craig nodded in understanding, having a look of "I got it."

Night fell, and after a busy day, Evelyn returned to Barberts Apartment.

Although she didn't have to go to the hospital today, she had plenty of other things to do.

Entering the elevator, her mind was preoccupied with other matters. She didn't notice that there was another person in the elevator.

"Ding!" The elevator arrived.

Evelyn looked up, prepared to step out, but the person next to her was faster.

Dermot?

When did he get in the elevator?

However, before she could react, the man's figure had already disappeared around the corner. Seeing the elevator doors about to close, Evelyn quickly stepped out, leisurely making her way
her own apartment, hoping to avoid Dermot.

As she heard the door slam shut, she finally reached her apartment door and took out her keys to open it.

Closing the door, she still felt strange.

But she quickly dismissed this peculiar feeling.

Under the pressure, Dermot treated her as a stranger, which was exactly what she wanted, and she should feel happy about it.

Realizing this, she hummed a song and walked towards the bathroom, preparing to take a bath and sleep.

Compared to her joyful mood, Dermot, who lived next door, had a much worse mood.

Evelyn didn't look at him from beginning to end, which was a blow to Dermot. Several times in the elevator, he almost couldn't help but speak, but then he remembered that he had wished her a bright future during the day and forcibly swallowed the words back.

Ha!
She was just a woman, and Dermot could easily find another one!
