Chapter 1104: Things Are Far From Over

Evelyn coming back or not? Dermot had no clue. All he knew was that when he saw Brandon dragging Evelyn onto that plane, he totally lost it.

Man, he regretted it big time.

He should've been there from the start. If he had, Brandon wouldn't have had the chance to threaten Evelyn and take her away.

But why didn't he go?

'Cause Dermot trusted Evelyn, thought she could handle it. Plus, Evelyn told him it wasn't necessary.

When Todd showed up at the airport with his crew, Dermot was on his knees, looking like a wreck. Todd couldn't even look at him.

There were still random gunshots around. Looked like the crew gunning for Joshua had bailed since they were after him, not Dermot.

In this country, they didn't wanna mess with Dermot.

"Mr. Doyle," Todd walked over, seeing Dermot all torn up, not sure what to say.

To his surprise, Dermot pulled himself together real quick. He got up and ordered, "Find out where Joshua's plane is headed."

Even if they took her to the ends of the earth, or even outer space, he was gonna find her.

"Got it, I'll check right away!" Todd nodded, feeling a bit better. He was really worried Dermot would be crushed by this.

The gunfight ended like it never happened. Everyone went back to their lives, not mentioning a word about it.

But they all knew this was far from over.

On the plane, Evelyn finally realized they were on a private jet, decked out with everything, including a doctor Brandon had arranged. That’s why he was so set on getting her on board.

Even though the plane was fancy, it was still just enough to stop the bleeding and save Joshua's life for now.

"I'm real curious, Ms. Kyte, why the sudden change of heart?" After making sure Joshua was stable, Brandon walked up to Evelyn, giving her a cold stare.

Evelyn glanced at him and said coolly, "I know everything."

Brandon was taken aback but quickly got it. "You know everything?"

"What else? You thought your plan was foolproof?" Evelyn sneered. Knowing everything, she had no more kindness left for Brandon.

Especially since this was the guy who forced her onto the plane at gunpoint. No way she was gonna be nice to him.

Brandon, on the other hand, seemed relieved. "Good that you know. I was worried about coming up with some excuse to get Mr. Garcia to recover after we got out. Now, I don't have to bother."

A lie needed a bunch more lies to cover it up. He was sick of it. Now, he didn't have to keep lying, which was a load off his mind.

"Since you know everything, just play nice. Mr. Garcia likes you a lot; he won't hurt you. When we get to our place, you'll have some good times ahead." Over the years, she was the first person Joshua liked. Even though Brandon didn't like her, he wouldn't harm Evelyn.

Evelyn sneered, "You think I'll play nice knowing everything?"

"Playing nice is for your own good. You think you can escape from us?" If they were back home, Evelyn might've had a shot, 'cause it wasn't their turf.

But now, the plane had already left the country. No matter what her status was back home, she was defenseless abroad.

Evelyn didn't wanna talk to him. She just needed to wait for Joshua to wake up. "Where are we going? Joshua's injury can't wait too long."

"Don't worry, I've got it all sorted. Mr. Garcia will be fine," Brandon said.
